Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I expect some epic slugfests against the O's. We play them 6 times in the last 2.5 weeks of the season. Yep, agree.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Imagine our rotation with any one of Darvish, Tanaka or Anibal Sanchez. All guys we could have signed with zero cost in prospects. (Draft pick for Sanchez but still...) Anyhow, hindsight, and there's no point dwelling on it. But AA really should have played ball in the SP free agent market this off season or the one before it. Yep, the offense is deep, all we needed was another front line starter and this team would be something.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Yep, the offense is deep, all we needed was another front line starter and this team would be something. Well, it IS something right now But I don't expect the pitching to hold up. We pretty much knew Morrow was going to implode. And he still didn't add a single starter until he got Hendriks off the waiver wire. Foolish.

Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 You got to be kidding me, friggin miss plays the ball in centre 2 runs score.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 You got to be kidding me, friggin miss plays the ball in centre 2 runs score. And now Davis ties it up Grrrr 5-5
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 O's just won't go away No and it's really annoying.

flafson Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Fangraphs now has the Jays at an 85.9% chance of making the playoffs. They favor current streaks to past ones, if we had the same record but on a 10 game losing streak, it would probably show 60%.
flafson Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 No, that's not what they do. "The FanGraphs Playoff Odds are an adaption of the coolstandings.com playoff odds originally created by Greg Agami and Sean Walsh. To generate the playoff odds we simulate each season 10,000 times." They have an idea of what every team's true-talent is, and then they simulate all the games based off that. How the Blue Jays have amassed their previous wins is (rightfully) irrelevant. My bad, i meant Season To Date Mode. Season to Date Stats Mode This mode uses current season stats, weighted more heavily towards the most recent games, to calculate the winning percentage of each remaining game in the major league season.
