The hilarity that is the Mariners never gets old.

 

If they landed Tanaka they wouldn't of been looking too bad. Felix, Tanaka, and Iwa is pretty sexy. They had Walker and Paxton ready as well (at the time).. I thought they would make that move once they went all-in with Cano but they stopped short obviously.

Even then though, they lack LF, CF, RF, and 1B and who knows what Brad Miller is at short.

 

You have wildcards like Franklin and Ackley... Anyways I wasn't saying they would be a definite playoff squad if they landed Tanaka but there's a lot worse in mlb

Gerrit Cole got off pretty easy. He's the one who provoked the damn incident. Not sure what Snider did wrong other than defend himself in a melee and get sucker punched to boot.

Kansas City is supposed to get rain this week as well, but they should get the games in. Wednesday is a toss-up, though.. a double-header is a strong possibility on Thursday.

You shouldn't and don't get suspended for shouting and instigating a fight with just shouting. If he threw a punch, sure, but he just strongly voiced his displeasure.

 

Then again, if he said "tu es maricon" then...

I meant that he got off easy in the court of public opinion. All the focus seemed to be Gomez who is justifiably a lightning rod but Cole was being pretty childish.

To be fair, things looked like they were de-escalating before Travis arrived on the scene.

 

Still, that's a pretty s***** discrepancy in punishments imo, between Maldonado connecting on a solid punch to the face and Snider pushing Gomez to the ground.

 

Not sure how to interpret your comment. Are you saying the discrepancy was too small?

Come on I was just playing devil's advocate. I wish nothing but success for snider, Cole and Gomez. I just don't like Gomez being treated like he's a black eye on baseball.

Like I said. The whole thing was Cole's fault anyways. He acts like a man and nothing happens.
