seventh inning stretch at yankees stadium today was in the form of a mad dash for the gates. place is empty.

13-4 lambasting and it's not over yet.

It was during the last few innings of the home opener last night too in a close game. Hard to believe considering the ticket prices people paid for that game.

Have not seen a good lambasting in a while.

Problem is, I'm worried the Yankees might have a legit 3 headed monster in Pineda, Tanaka, and Sabbathia. Obv we can't tell yet, but I'm worried.

The Yanks have good starting pitching....I'm convinced on Tanaka...great splitter. Kuroda is the other guy..solid. I'm not sold on Pineda and Sabbathia is not what he once was..but obviously a solid starter. We'll see how Pineda does over the next month. They are going to need the pitching..because their bullpen has some questions as does their offense..

First of all, Oberholtzer does NOT have reverse splits. 3.68 xFIP vs. L, 4.37 xFIP vs. R.

And now Dickey Effect is wasted in last game of series. Though if it gets him one extra start at end of the year, then it's worth it.

All SSS, but his splits are rather interesting. 1.50 gb/fb vs lefties, 0.67 gb/fb vs righties (hence the xFIP differences). Lefties hitting .287 against him, righties .216. Sets the table for a rather fascinating argument lol.

Some interesting things from looking at Brooks (ignoring the spring start):

Now according to Fangraphs, his changeup is (by far) his best pitch, but he doesn't throw it to lefties very often. So are his better results vs righties due to the change with xFIP throwing us for a loop, or is xFIP correct?

To muddy things even further (just because), his GB rate with the change is actually good... Regardless, it's all pretty SSS anyway.

#Angels announce that LHP Brian Moran, a Rule 5 selection last winter, will undergo Tommy John surgery in the next few days.

The ninja is back. I like this version of AA.

f*** you KennyW

That actually was a good ninja move trading a rule 5 pick for international cap money instead of just passing when our pick came .

Abreu hits another one.

First homerun came on a 12 pitch at bat.

White Sox having fun at Coors... six home runs!
