BallsDeep Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Darvish hurt his back? Seeing specialist.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 If Texas took Izturis, Thole, and Happ, I wouldn't even ask for any players in return. Addition by subtraction. Oh man, that would be soooooo great. Kratz > Thole, Dustin, Redmond, Rogers > Happ, and Kawasaki > Izturis (maybe not talent-wise, but he's fun to watch).

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Ban LOL. I swear you must have a bot that types 'BAN" any time it auto-detects a bleacher report link I swear this is true - I googled "Yu Darvish injury" and clicked on the first link that looked fresh. It was this one. If showed a bunch of relevant tweets, seemed useful, and copied the link and posted it here. It was only then that I realized it was from bleacher report. As I clicked "post" I had a pained look on my face and I consciously thought "BTS will see this and complain about using bleacher report as a new source"
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 It's a deserved ban. The "article" is some teenager giving us a bunch of tweets that all say the same thing, and then him pretending to be a doctor for a couple paragraphs. Nothing to see there. Don't go on Bleacher Report.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 It's a second offense too 5 day ban imo Oh FFS LOL That site's writing is absolute crap, but what's wrong with linking to a story showing relevant tweets about Darvish?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Please don't stop. I enjoy the backlash when you post your monthly BR article. I've done it like twice max!!!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Baseball's most snake-bitten teams: http://www.sbnation.com/2014/3/25/5545792/injuries-baseball-team-list-rangers-braves-padres-athletics Rangers, Padres and Braves fans probably are feeling the same concerns Jays fans had in 2013.. especially considering the Rangers and Braves were supposed to contend. If Darvish is out long-term, the Rangers could easily be a 4th place team, especially with Oakland, LA and Seattle ahead of them. Braves are lucky the NL East is weak outside of they and Washington. No idea on the Padres, though..

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Can't be worse than Miguel! Also means Gomes is going to be everyday C. Going to haunt us with his skills that we let go for a fringe 5th starter Poor Chisenhall, getting screwed out of a job. I wonder if he can play 2B?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Worley traded from the Twins to the Pirates for cash Mmm, cash Can we get some cash for JA Happ?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 s*** he tried to trade for Carroll this off season didn't he?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Gross. Grosser than JP Arencibia?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I thought Carroll was a free agent Oh yeah. Was supposedly interested in acquiring anyhow.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 No, Vizquel lol Ah, of course Izturis was actually pretty decent until he became a Jay
bendera3 Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I know it isn't very major but Fred Lewis signed with my hometown Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League. It's the same team that Bonaparte Tallet pitched for last year.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Oh yeah. Was supposedly interested in acquiring anyhow. A bunch of s***** utility guys became available...Ty Wigginton, Kevin Frandsen, Jamey Carroll... Sign them all. They are all better than Izturis.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 You could be correct. I have a serious hate on for "meh" Izturis.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Robbie Ross was dominant today, and looks like a lock for Texas' rotation now. This is pretty intriguing. Guy is a lefty with a career 7.42 K/9, 2.97 BB/9, and 54% GB rate. Traded for him in one of my dynasty leagues a month ago for this very reason. At worst he could make a great holds guy, but the SP potential is appealing from a low cost fantasy perspective.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 So is Stephen Drew just not going to play baseball anymore? How the f*** could a player be ok with missing an entire spring training?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Picked him up off the waiver wire in the DDL last week. He has definite potential as a top-notch SP5 or SP6 in a 20-team league. Yup. Won't win you anything, but if he can pitch a bunch of innings with decent peripherals, every team can use that.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Thought I'd mention our old friend Kelly Johnson, despite a decent bat in spring training, is butchering 3B quite a bit, with 5 errors this spring, including 2 tonight. No wonder scouts are considering the Yanks infield the worst in MLB defensively..
