Presumably, Morrison has more defensive value than Lind at 1B or LF. If the return for Lind is good, it's not a bad idea. At least it gives the team the option of moving Melky to DH.

Depending on how much it would take to get Morrison I would actually be fine with having him at 1B/DH and he could even play the occasional LF as long as we are able to fill another hole (2B) with trading Lind or if a team is offering a good prospect for Lind, either way I think AA will sell high on Lind if he trades him
