G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 We're all thread bombing I know
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 I'll clean up all these threads once talk settles down
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Video? Hopefully later
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Yeah the board's way too cluttered right now. There should've been an AFL Thread. You mods should decide on some general threads to create for the offseason. This time a year when it get quiet I don't mind. I'll often merge threads once they die down. The biggest problem is some people, including active good posters, rarely check the minor league sub forum. I wonder sometimes if we should can it and just have a baseball and off topic board.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 He's done for the day 5 IP, 8 K's 1 unearned run, 0 hits and 1 walk. Nice
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 AFL thread in the prospect forum Yes that's where this and the Stroman threads should be But I don't think most posters would have even noticed the discussion there.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 As I said this morning................Sanchez >> Stroman
flafson Verified Member Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 As I said this morning................Sanchez >> Stroman As long as AA doesn't trade them away, i don't care who's bigger.
flafson Verified Member Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 We also know that AA somewhat cares about the future which is why he didn't trade Sanchez so far. Anyway, pointless talk, we don't control anything.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 There's the reality right there. Turning this team into a playoff contender is going to be difficult enough (SP2, SP2, C, 2B, RHDH). Doing it without moving the only two guys in the system with big value around the league will be almost impossible. It's frustrating because Stroman himself could be a contributor as soon as this year.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 What's wrong with him contributing as early as this year? He'll be doing it for another team.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 He'll be doing it for another team. I highly doubt it Sanchez would be the one dealt if any, hes still a year away atleast.

DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Weird, that guy seems way too black and short to be Sanchez? Hahaha it's definitely Stroman. I was watching TV as I posted, my bad.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Reminds me of Marcum. That is dirty. Stroman can be an above average starter now, but probably capped at 160IP. Why he seems really durable to me.

I remember a game against Boston at RC.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 I don't remember the last time I was as excited about a Jays pitching prospect as I am about Stroman. Downright filthy numbers in AA, and the stuff matches. And composure for days. Yep. Pumped.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Anyone think Stroman's performance in the AFL is having a direct impact on AA's priorities over the next month??
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Anyone think Stroman's performance in the AFL is having a direct impact on AA's priorities over the next month?? It really f***ing shouldn't.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 No. Trade Sanchez, but for the love of god keep Stroman. Sanchez >>> Stroman. Sanchez Fastball-Curveball is one of the best combo in the entire minors league system.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 It really f***ing shouldn't. I know But I'm worried it might
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Aaron Sanchez needs to actually start dominating minor league hitters, because as good as the stuff is he hasn't actually been great at getting people out. tell me about dingers and K's............It's more difficult hit a dinger against Aaron Sanchez than touch the Obama's balls.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Sanchez vs. Stroman is a really fun debate right now. It has to be basically 50/50. Stats and Peripherals: Large edge Stroman Age vs. Level: Slight edge Sanchez Proximity: Edge Stroman Stuff: Edge Sanchez Polish:Stroman Intangibles: Stroman Physical profile: Sanchez Stroman looks like a sure bet to be at least a late inning major league reliever, with the upside of a mid rotation starter. He could even exceed expectations and be a very strong #3 or arguable #2 starter. Sanchez could be a legitimate Ace if everything clicks, or he could be a guy who can't even out innings out of the bullpen if he can't consistently throw strikes.
