I still can't get over that the draft pick the Cardinals got for letting Pujols walk is already an impact player in the majors.

That is the difference between a good organization and a crummy one.

Letting Albert Pujols go the Angels has to be the best non-signing in the history of Major League Baseball.

Yes, that was a great decision.

But what I meant was their developement of prospects. They develop stars. We don't.

Nice job Cards, taken the crowds right out of this game. I haven't seen this many Bostonian's with their heads down since they were looking for lost limbs at the Marathon.

Too Soon? Sorry I really hate James Taylor

To quote Abomination "any time is too soon for something like that."

I actually ran that day, finished before it happened though. Still stressful. I knew a lot of people in the race who could have finished around that time, I had a lot of friends spectating. Spent the rest of the day texting trying to find out if everyone was OK.

We're talking a situation here, where 3 people died, a kid died just watching his dad, 20 people or so lost their legs, and probably would of died other than the fact that there were scores of first responders there.

Don't forget to mention the Craft mercenaries. They were there too.

Yeah, I don't understand why Gomes is starting against eighties. Seems like a pretty obvious platoon to me, but then I'm not AL manager of the year John Farrell.

They showed a stat either in game 1 or 2 that saying that the Red Sox were 6-0 with Gomes starting in LF...Farrell knows his stats.

World Series or not, I'm glad that idiot is gone. I'll take Gibbons over Farrell 10 times out of 10.

This Red Sox team just keeps on winning no matter what Farrell does, smart or dumb. It's maddening.

No coming back for this post. If there is indeed still the yearly poster awards, they disqualifies you from the top spot. Jays Flags in now the odds-on favorite. .and ROY I guess too

Hurl is still going to vote for himself with every account he has.

How about the addition of Jays Flags though.. combines Nox-level numerical knowledge with friendly posts to just about anyone that isnt a total douchebag.

Right. Top-notch poster. I've been reading a lot less and thought we had a new awesome poster or something.

Sorry, meant JFAS. Thought it stood for JAys Flags and Stamps

He wins because he is PART of a management team and culture that does the big things right (player development, on base percentage).

Maybe it's just luck. Maybe he's just along for the ride. I don't know at this point and won't bother arguing it further. .

But all the small things you guys complain about don't matter all that much. What matters in the end is that he chose the right place to work. An idiot he may be... but atleast he chose the right place to work, that's more than many can say.
