Tuco Verified Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Buck just said he'll be in the booth during tomorrow's game Curious if he gives us anything useful to chew on... He wont. He'll just talk about this seasons injuries and how we need to improve the pitching.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 I post this just for those who might not have bothered watching but now might to see what he says

TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 as I just posted Sartori announced he's left the org. Gives AA a chance to deflect and wish him well and talk about which of his idiots that he follows gets AGM.

oakville69 Verified Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Langerhans get the bunt down. Could the Jays knock the Rays out of the playoffs with two more wins? I am going to the game tomorrow.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I think they realise its a gamble they have to make. Its either paying him his bidding fee which will likely be around the same number as Darvish. Or overpay free agent like Ervin Santana whose best suited as a middle of the rotation starter but could command something like 5 years and 75 million in this market. If Santana demands that much, the Jays are better spending a few more bucks on Garza instead, or go the Lincecum/Ubaldo route for cheaper.

Going to be an interesting offseason . I doubt AA says anything important . Not his style . doubt we evev are in on Tanaka cause AA never went to scout him and he always had done so previously. I think your AZ deal is the most likely Sil. BTW ,Good luck this weekend two very good teams battling it out and it is your turn.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 They said that the season end press conference is on tomorrow morning at 11:30 est also
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Shi interviewed him and it's amazing how similar the top to the SN microphone and AA's second chin are.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Breaking news "Jays may shy away from pitchers with injury history". What about the 10 that are already on the team?
DwightDM Verified Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 and for the not so breaking news - "We expect a bounceback offensive season out of JP" Dear God.
DwightDM Verified Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 What did you think he was going to say? JPA is f***ing horrendous Wilner. I'm embarassed we employee him. Jesus Christ people figure it out. You can't s*** on your own players through the media. You do quietly behind closed doors. JPA won't be back next year. Just be patient. That was AA not Wilner, and clearly not surprised given the "not so breaking news" tag. We all hope AA and co. are smarter than this, and are just saying this for optics etc, but we don't really have reason to believe that right now.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I personally don't want to hear one word from AA till he announces he has fixed the f***ing defense up the middle and in LF . No point in signing a starter till he fixes that God Awful defense . If we have to go into next season with a Coming back from injury overpaid 4th outfielder who's only good seasons were Roid induced and a 1 trick pony catcher who is the worst in the league defensively and at the plate then f***ing blow it up and let us get excited about our farm system again.
DH12 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Please someone fire AA. He doesn't have a clue.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 More stuff: Blue Jays Likely To Keep Lind, DeRosa, Janssen by Zach Links, Sep 29 at 12:06 PM CST Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos told reporters that there's a "good chance" they'll exercise Adam Lind's option for 2014, according to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet (on Twitter). Veteran Mark DeRosa is also in good position with his option and Casey Janssen is a lock to have his club option triggered.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 and for the not so breaking news - "We expect a bounceback offensive season out of JP" Dear God. JP is great, really follows the Cito/Murph philosaphy. Paul loves it. He hits homers. Now we realize .190 isn't a good average. Our projection has JP boosting his average and on base percentage (for you eggheads) by 30 points next year, that gets him hitting .220 next year, .255 on base percentage, but more importantly our projections show he's gonna drive in 70 and that's what counts. That's 20 more runs. Our offense is great right now 8th place. With JPs 20 more rbis that gets us up there a little bit more and that's good enough really. We don't believe in on base percentage. We believe in Cito Gaston and Duane Murphy, and JPs a 70 rbi catcher... He only drove in 50 this year. You do the math. That's 20 more runs next year. I'm tired of you foolish disrespectful egg-heads making it too complicated. 70 rbi catcher. What more do you want? Now get out of my face!
DH12 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 AA in his answers today said he didn't know the Jays were truly out of the race until just before the all star break. LOL.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
