AuntieJPA Verified Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Yes, many of us bought into things, tho few thought the Dickey embellishment was necessary. What do you think will happen if a jaded fan base does not buy the flexpacks, which really helped our attendance? Do you think the Jays will make a splash again to keep momentum going? Just wondering.
AuntieJPA Verified Member Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 A lot. Let us hope.
Jays Verified Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Do you think the Jays will make a splash again to keep momentum going? that's a good question. I think they'll make some big aquisition but it'll probably be very optics based.
Pete_7 Verified Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I'll get mine the first day they become available next month just like last year. Why? Because I support my team, and I enjoy going to the games. Plus a trip to Spring Training next year and a road trip to PIT and PHI, plus one in Detroit. 2014 is gonna be busy for me

Just wondering. I don't think as many flex packs will be sold as last year, lets all be realistic. People went overboard with flex packs/season tickets this season, and I heard from some of my ticket guys that many won't be renewing flex packs/season tickets. Flex Packs will still be popular likely (the 10 game ones), since people will guarantee themselves tickets for the Home Opener, so I'm sure people will buy them because of those reasons. I'll likely get a 10 game flex pack next season. Though once this team is out of it, you can easily buy seats for far cheaper on Stubhub. I went to see the Angels in September and paid $18 to sit 5 rows behind home plate in section 122. Then for the Yankees game last Thursday, paid $50 to sit about 12-15 rows up in Section 124. Far cheaper than the box office.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Nice You going to go to the Montreal games? I am. I'm planning to go to the Montreal games. Hopefully there is a hockey game on the Saturday night as well.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 A lot will probably depend on this off-season. If they brought someone like Halladay back or something (perhaps less likely since he left his last game with issues), it would likely recover some of the excitement from the casual fans that we saw this year early on.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 There's not Ah darn. Not even on the Thursday? What about an MLS soccer game? I'm don't follow soccer, though I heard Montreal has a good team.

Although Filipe Alou has leaked information that the available 1994 Expos players are going to do some sort of exhibition game, still in the planning stages.

If Doc was pitching better, I could see that happening. Unfortunately, I'm not even sure he'll get a guaranteed contract with the way he has been pitching especially by just clocking out at 83 mph in his last start. I could see casual fans getting excited if the Jays traded for Cliff Lee (which is highly unlikely and idiotic) or sign a pitcher like Tanaka.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I definitely won't be buying my flexpack. This season was the first time I bought one (10-games) and I quickly realized that the savings you get just aren't worth it, especially if your team is in a rut and you don't find yourself enjoying the game. I'd rather pay a 30% premium to go to a game that I know I will enjoy rather than save 30% and go to a game that I think will be more of a chore.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I know that I personally wont renew my flex pack next year unless Arencibia is off the team. This team goes nowhere with that retard catching. AA better upgrade our catcher

FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Hopefully enough will go unsold for Rogers to notice, fire Beeston, AA, and Gibbons, start the necessary rebuild, and for f***'s sake, get AA off this team.
