Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Brady retires It's not official, but I think he does.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 It's not official, but I think he does. Yeah I think family was a big part, but also the roster situation was really going to be murky for a long time…this off-season I mean
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) KC making it look easy. Uhmm... Cincy turned a page!!! Love it!!! Edited January 30, 2022 by Spanky99

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 This game ended up being epic, love it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 You’re such a mush lol For good football? What's a mush, anyhow?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 This game was/is awesome-sauce.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Bengals to the Bowl, lol... this is awesome!
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 For good football? What's a mush, anyhow? Mush is a jinx. Meaning it seems every time you’re like “Team X is rolling”, they collapse
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 I really dislike singers who try to make the anthem about them and not the country.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 If the score held, when was the last time there was such a mediocre SB?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 So Bengals @ Rams, who'd have f***ing called that?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 So Bengals @ Rams, who'd have f***ing called that? Bengals and SF would’ve been hilarious. Was rooting for it just for that reason. But I guess the Rams make the game much more interesting
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Mush is a jinx. Meaning it seems every time you’re like “Team X is rolling”, they collapse Wow, that's an interesting concept, said no one ever.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Wow, that's an interesting concept, said no one ever. How you have never heard of “mush”? Are you actually an Eskimo?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 How you have never heard of “mush”? Are you actually an Eskimo? As an insult? No.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 In this season with so many weird turns, we get team that has to win the Superbowl now because they will be terrible for a decade afterwards vs. a fun story but fringe playoff team. Not very compelling. Brady vs. Mahomes round 2 would have been fun. Bills facing Brady in the SB would have been awesome. Miserable ******* Aaron Rodgers trying to win his second SB despite being one of the best ever in his last season with GB. Btw, lol @ GB for having back to back hall of fame, top 10 QBs and ending up with 2 rings. Instead, we're probably going to get a mediocre 24-21 game where Joe Burrow gets sacked 10 times.

I was telling someone the other day that I don't really appreciate greatness. I'm already sick of hearing about and watching Mahomes and have been long sick of Brady. I stopped watching pre-game shows and analysis for all sports years ago, but I still prefer some fresh new stories each year. I love a good underdog story and the Bengals are a fun new upcoming team so I'd rather them get there than KC. It was the same when Tiger Woods was in his prime and during the baseball playoffs. I don't really want to see the Dodgers and Yankees/Red Sox in the World Series anytime soon. I'd be curious if others feel this way. Maybe I'm weird. It will be interesting if the Jays become an annual contender - we'll see if that changes my views. Edited January 31, 2022 by Brownie19

I am cheering for the Bengals for sure, I'm just salty because the Bills definitely softened up the Chiefs for them. Team of Destiny vibes. I'd like them even more if they were in the NFC. The Rams are basically the mid 2000s Yankees. I hate the way they built their team and Sean McVay is way too handsome to be a head coach. You can be handsome, but don't be "pretty". Fun fact, Sean McVay's dad is named Timothy.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Tom Brady GOAT, all sports?
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Tom Brady GOAT, all sports? Tiger has to be first by a wide margin.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Tiger has to be first by a wide margin. Nicklaus > Tiger though
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Nicklaus > Tiger though Not even according to Nicklaus.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Not even according to Nicklaus. That comment was in 2014 when everyone was sure Woods would take the most majors title.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 In 1998 Woods tied for 8th at the Masters. Nicklaus tied for 6th. He was 58 years old with a bad hip. For sure Woods was tracking to be the best ever, but its not going to happen.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Tiger = Griffey jr? Ben Hogan is the better comp. Hogan survived a car crash as bad or worse than Tiger's. Head on into a greyhound bus. He was never the same afterwards, but won the Triple Crown 4 yrs later.

LeBron now with all the millions he spends each year on the body starting to break down…. Just makes it so amazing what Brady did. Naturally! (most guys I’m skeptical but with TB the secret seems to be seaweed shakes).
