Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 I agree with you Boxy - I'll re-think my use of words next time. No worries man. I felt oddly good about this win until the gravity of those calls/non-calls fully hit me. I didn't think they could have been THAT obvious. Maybe 50/50. Watch Carlton Davis after the Diggs play in the endzone. Watch him roll on to his front and immediately pound the ground with his fist. He knew he was about to get called, and it never came. Anyway, I've been waiting all season for the Bills to show their full potential because we've only seen glimpses here and there amongst undisciplined play and carelessness. This was full potential Bills who can absolutely paste anyone they want. Dawkins finally recovered from his bout with the coof and is good again, Spencer Brown had a bad first half and then became a monster in the second, giving Josh lots of time to throw against arguably the best D-Line in football. And amongst all that, Josh Allen ascended to godhood. He finally took the team on his back and gutted out one of the most admirable performances I've ever seen. If they play like this consistently, a lot of teams are in a lot of trouble. This game was a win by the Bills that was snatched from them by officiating, but I'm not feeling bad about out brady-ing Brady in the second half, in their house, against the defending SB champs and current SB faves.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Wow... this will be interesting? Thanks Rams, now both clubs can kiss my ass...
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 (edited) I agree with you Boxy - I'll re-think my use of words next time. I don’t think it’s nearly as egregious as Box is saying. The Bills PI penalty the guy wasn’t looking back at the QB, it was clearly a very catchable ball and the defender didn’t let the receiver make a reasonable attempt to catch the ball. They both shouldve been making a play on the ball there. I feel that’s going to get called a lot. On the held jersey, if you saw the play and even listened to the broadcasters, there was not any effect on the play. Ball was nowhere near and already overthrown when the hold happened. As for the non-call on Tampa, you can clearly see there’s a lot of hand jockeying going on from the other side of the camera angle. Yea, the still photo shows the end of the play but that doesn’t really tell the whole story. Probably by rule PI when all is said and done but there’s probably something from the other angle to see why it may have gone uncalled (even if wrong by rule). Can’t get down 24-3, they play great and get mad about falling short. They lost. Edited December 15, 2021 by connorp
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 I mean they did prove when they’re clicking they can play with anyone in the NFL, but was that really in doubt prior? So there’s no moral victory there for you guys

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Holy f*** What an *******. How is he still employed? They made a huge mistake hiring that f***ing dick, I don't get it either, must be the money? Although that's a drop in a hat for an NFL team.

It's actually surprising that he's so successful outside the NFL, who the hell would want to play for that dickhead? Oh, and he got fired today, lol, so that's something

Do we think the college coaches treat the college kids like s*** and verbally and physically abuse them? I wonder if that's the next ball to drop. If they do, then I hope it does.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 What are your thoughts on Trevor Lawrence? Just standard 1st year struggles, but he's still a generational QB and will be a stud? Will things change with Urban Meyer gone?

I'm still up in the air with him...but he was not put into a position to succeed this year. If he had that year in New England I'd be ready to call him a bust.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 There's being aggressive and then there's being stupid and reckless. Jesus Christ, Staley, reel it it. Or use Herbert on a sneak once in awhile ffs
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I'm beginning to think neither coach wants to actually win the game.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Boy the Chargers stink. How do you lose that one?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I thought that was a good game, f*** this city going to the cabin.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Boy the Chargers stink. How do you lose that one? I tried watching the game on Amazon Prime, knowing the two QBs seem to be pretty good... but then like 5 commercial breaks happened in the first 3 minutes of the game and I couldn't get into it.

That's the NFL for you. Roger Goodell would sell his own mother for 5 bucks and a handy.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 The NFL, who usually gets blown the wrong way with the political winds, make the right move and stops weekly testing. They won’t make any fans over at CNN for this
