Anyone else see the NFL pre-season game played last night in Winnipeg where they shortened the field to 80 yards?

 

I saw HUGE media response all over social media in the US as to what a s*** show it was.. As someone fond of Canada.. It was absolutely embarrassing..

 

Sportsnet wrote some vanilla piece about "some problems with the field" the rest of the world media piled on to what a disgrace it was.. Sad...

Wade Miller rented the stadium out, that's it, everything else was handled by the Promoter, The Raiders, and the NFL.

 

The Bombers, Winnipeg, and Canada had absolutely nothing to do with the issues last night.

You are absolutely correct. But the perception is that Winnipeg and the Bombers screwed this up. And sometimes perception is reality.

Should have just played the game on the regular CFL field with 12 men and 3 downs; that would have been good for a laugh! Gruden's head would have probably exploded

Unrelated, but Luck's dad is the CEO and comissioner of the XFL.

 

Pretty well known.

 

I've read people speculating that he will head to the XFL in the future due to his father lol pretty ridiculous.

After all that nonsense the last few days, I find it hard to believe any team will be willing to. Maybe late in the year during a playoff push.

 

It almost makes you wonder if it's intentional. Get some guaranteed money from a few teams, force the teams to release you, and leave football to do whatever the f*** you want with no more injuries or brain trauma.
