5 year deal for McCoy with 26.5 million in guarantee's is not a good idea. There's a reason why RB's don't get drafted high anymore. You can find a productive one in the 2nd-4th rounds on the cheap.

He had a good year but he wasn't anything crazy. the big thing with him is that SF was going to rely on him a lot more this year with Willis retiring and Justin Smith reported to be considering retirement as well.

And the, well, *actually* important thing is that it was because of head trauma. He'd already had two concussions. When you're one of the league's best rookies and you decide that playing in the NFL *isn't worth the risk,* maybe the league will finally start to care for its players-
