Trolling?

I'm not sure that was trolling. I'd put the odds on Davis returning at 10-1 against. There really isn't much of a CF free agent crop and while I think that Rajai is a bag of balls in centre, there will be suitors for him at the position. The market is going to get him over-paid too. And while it might not happen, his getting a whopping 3-year/$18 million isn't that unrealistic. And he's 32 now!

You just know these 14 games are the prelude to him playing like Kenny Lofton for the rest of his career.

14 GP in KC. 8 walks, 8 for 8 on the basepaths. .404 OBP. Un-f***in-believable. You can say small sample size all you want, but he has already produced more use for KC than his time in Toronto, even if he K's in every at bat from not to the end of the season. There's got to be someone to blame for this.

Bon playing in KC like the guy we thought we were getting from Miami. Example of Gibby not getting the best out of his players

You know what? You're probably right. If AA extends Rasmus this off season before the arbitration deadline (which I think he should), the money just might not be there for Rajai.

Plus he might insist on a full time job, something we just cant offer, but there are teams that could. I could see him in KC or Philadeplhia actually.

We're obviously not going to be able to get him for another season at 2.5 MM. He's built his value up to way more than that.

Unless we jettison Melky (unlikely) and decide to platoon Gose and Davis (probably not the best idea anyway), he's probably gone. :(

9 for 9 on the basepaths now. That's what irks me the most out of all of this. We know the Jays didn't give up an elite hitter but he goes from 12 for 18 here to 9 for 9 there in SB. How do you make a complete 180 degree turn on stolen bases? Hitting I can understand but base stealing ability and speed should be something fairly consistent I would think. He was dogging it here. He only had 18 attempts versus 9 attempts already in KC so I don't know how he could have been so good at picking poor spots to steal here. If he had at least been something like 30 for 35 on the basepaths then the Jays AT LEAST had an elite PR threat late in the game if nothing else, especially since Davis was given an expanded starting role. But no, Bonifacio had to be a burden here in every possibly aspect of playing baseball.

I've been against Gibby as manager since he came back. Team spent big and was projected as playoff favorites back in 2006-08 era. Same as now....his team underachieves. There were always incidents with players back then on how he handled them. He just doesn't get the most out of his players. Too many players have fell flat to be a fluke. Johnson, Morrow, Bonifacio, Izthus, Cabrera, Romero, Arencibia all are having terrible years.
