Fromagedujour Verified Member Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Here's a video I found regarding some new replay tech at Yankee stadium. Some really neat stuff! http://vimeo.com/67160485# Disregard if repost.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 That was pretty amazing, I would love if Rogers added something like that to there broadcast. I found the zoom outs to show the fielders after contact and the broken bat cut especially entertaining. The quality and detail of the images was phenomenal as well.
admin Site Manager Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Not that new, people are just finding out about it because it was on Reddit lol.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I think the greatest use for this system will be the replaying close calls at the bases and plate.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 yeah I seen it on the yes broadcasts before
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Hopefully that dinosaur commish will retire soon so baseball can enter the 21st century.
KSaw Verified Member Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 You'll see this 3D replay system in Toronto next year.
KSaw Verified Member Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 One would think Rogers has this technology, no? No they don't. It's in use at Yankee games and on their broadcasts simply because the MLB offices are in New York. The company that came up with this is working with MLB on more practical uses.
