• The Boston Red Sox acquire SP Jake Peavy and RP Brayan Villarreal from the White Sox and the Tigers in a three way trade. The White Sox receive OF Avisail Garcia, P Jeffrey Wendelken, P Francellis Montas and SS Cleuluis Rondon, as the Tigers only receive SS Jose Iglesias
  
• The Oakland Athletics have acquired 3B Alberto Callaspo from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in exchange for ex-first round selection 2B Grant Green
  

 

A's:

• The acquisition of Alberto Callaspo is a weird one (for the price) as he'll just serve the team as a bench player to backup Josh Donaldson and play a bit of 2B.
  
• The A's have won 16 games in April, May, and June. If they win tonight it would be win #16 in July... The Jays can spoil that

• Jose Reyes, Rasmus and Melk Man have done well in SSS against Colon, going 3/4, 4/6, 5/8 against the righty respectively
