it's a pretty surprising report, as the rangers just acquired garza from the cubs last week for a package of prospects. However, rosenthal hears that they are willing to be open-minded regarding virtually all of their players. The rangers are still in the mix and garza should help the rotation, so it's unlikely a deal comes together.

AA needs to be spending the next 2-3 hours dealing with the Rangers. If it's not a deal centered around Bautista/Profar, then maybe he can peddle off Lind. Out of the power hitters available, Lind can't be too far down the list behind Bautista or Encarnacion.

Good catchers are rarely dealt in season, changes there will have to wait until the off-season. AA definitely has a chance to address the MIF and rotation right now, he seems quite comfortable waiting until the off-season though. Oliver should definitely be moved, may as well get some value back before he retires.
