Laika Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Kennedy price should be high, 3 arbitrage years remaining. If Kennedy's price is high I'll pass, don't like the idea to add an expensive flyball pitcher. Just 2 arbitration years left for Kennedy. He has a 5.25 ERA and a mediocre 2.25 K/BB. They can't ask for that much for him. They also stand to benefit in both the short and long term by clearing Kennedy's salary and his roster spot. There is a financial cost tied to him, as well as an opportunity cost.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 They want pitching and we have some now that Drebek Hutch and Happ are close. Send them JJ or MB I don't know what prospects you would have to add to that though.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 The only way I am going to come out of this day happy is if AA finds a way to unload JPA. If he does that he would ALMOST get a little respect back from me.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Owings is fairly legit and his stock is on the rise. They probably don't move him. I could see them moving Kennedy for a guy like Janssen. They're only a few games back in the division, and 2nd in baseball in blown saves. Ya, he seemed like a guy who could be an MLB MIF'er as soon as next season. Doesn't look like he'll be a star but that's a pretty sexy age vs level. If Janssen is enough for Kennedy I wonder if Janssen + Oliver + Bonifacio could land you both. Either way Janssen + filler for Kennedy would be a decent deal for the Jays. I think Kennedy will bounce back to a mid-4 ERA in the AL East.

Send them JJ or MB I don't know what prospects you would have to add to that though. JJ would do nothing for them since it appears they have given up on the season. I would think it would cost something more along the lines of Gose + (Minor league pitcher not named Sanchez) + Izzy.

Dream trade; MB + Nolin + Carreno for Kendrick. Makes no sense for LAA, other than being desperate for MLB pitching, though.

Towers has been avoiding resigning him for a couple seasons now. Definitely seems like they would prefer to trade him over giving him a long term contract.

DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 St Louis now say looking for catching...anyone we got we could trade away while improving the club???? Perhaps a 3 team deal with STL getting Ruiz, the Jays getting Wang, and Philly getting something equivalent from TO..
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 f***kkkkkkkk Holding out for Profar
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 f***kkkkkkkk I can understand not dealing Encarnacion, but not dealing Bautista would be stupid, especially if Profar is on the table.
