ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Peavy perhaps, those guys aren't good enough for Lee or Headley. Probably something else entirely though. I don't know man, the salary relief the Phillies would get might make it worth it, not sure.
over500 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Listening to who may move tonight...put some names together; 3 team trade. Blue Jays - Carlos Martinez, Howie Kendrick, Hank Conger, CJ Wilson, Cory Rasmus Angels - Bautista, Buehrle, Arencibia, Janssen Cardinals - Aybar, Oliver You're funny.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 But they wouldn't have anyone to spend Lee's money on. The contract is okay because he's producing and RAJ has made it clear they'll keep him unless a top 10 prospect in baseball in on the table. I just read where the Phillies would insist on Bogaerts being involved. They'll also have Halladay's salary off the payroll in 2013 so you're probably right. If the Red Sox are getting Lee, I freakin' hope they're giving up Bogaerts +.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Hopefully this is true. I don't want the Red Sox getting Peavy. almost done.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Source: Callaspo headed to #Athletics lol Damn Angels, f***ing texas
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Callaspo pulled from the Angels game. Wouldn't be a terrible 2B solution for us. Disagree, he hasn't played 2B in years and his career batting line is about the same as Izturis. A marginal improvement at best.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 f***kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 "iglesias is believed to be in peavy deal, going to white sox. multiple players tho"

imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Peavy will get destroyed in AL east. Book it!

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I assume Chicago will trade Alexei (to Pittsburgh?) now that they'll have Iglesias. Iglesias SS Bradley CF Ranuado #4 Alexei Pirates/Cards Rios Rangers/Pirates Molina Jays
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Yeah maybe he isn't very good. I'd have taken him on for a non-prospect, not for a guy like Green. Is Green still a prospect though? Seems like a rather harmless deal for both sides.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 RED SOX WORKING ON THREE-WAY DEAL WITH WHITE SOX, TIGERS TO ACQUIRE JAKE PEAVY According to multiple major league sources, the Red Sox are in advanced talks about a three-way deal with the White Sox and Tigers that would bring right-hander Jake Peavy to Boston. While the final shape of the deal is not yet clear, shortstop Jose Iglesias is involved in it. Outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr., who was replaced by a pinch-hitter in Pawtucket’s game on Tuesday night after experiencing discomfort in his elbow on a throw, is not. AA is a joke
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 This Peavy trade is getting interesting. Was hoping Oakland would get him for the sake of my fantasy team though
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 White Sox - Avisail Garcia+ Tigers - Iglesias++ Red Sox - Peavy Finally.... Iglesias >> Hechavarria >>>>Tim Beckham
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Jim Bowden scouting notes on Jose Iglesias: ".... not great range, bat average."
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Teams would know about anything wrong with the players from the physicals before any trade was agreed to anyhow. The information coming out to us fans is not an issue that should affect trades in any way.
theblujay Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 Please go full idiot Cherington. Cecchini (sp?)+ please
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Usually everything around the Red Sox gets leaked. I'm starting to worry there is no other big prospect getting moved. Iglesias out, Bogaerts and Peavy In Bradley Webster De la Rosa Cecchini Owens Barnes Ball Ranaudo?
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Peavy is a contract-year-only player and I certainly would hesitate to give up one of my best prospects for him like the Sox are doing.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Does Detroit need Iglesias? Sounds like it's insurance for Peralta.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Jim Bowden scouting notes on Jose Iglesias: ".... not great range, bat average." oh my JIM BOWDEN "Avisail Garcia profiles out to 20HR 80RBI bat..not more; Iglesisas a great defender because of hands/angles/feet but not great range bat avg" 20 dingers and 80 Ribeyes?
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Peavy is a low #2 with massive injury concerns and a pretty serious price tag. I don't think he's necessarily worth a lot more than a 6 year SS who's an absolutely mint defender. Maybe they throw in a pitcher like Ranaudo or Workman. I dunno.
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 What exactly is appealing about Avisail Garcia?
