CHRIS Verified Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Is the obvious move to deal Oliver before Santos' return? It seems everyone else is either pitching too well, would have to be exposed to waivers, or both. Prediction: the Jays expose Juan Perez, lose him, and then trade Oliver the next day.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Boni will not be here when Santos return

Nope, AA will DFA Rajai Davis for an 8 man BP and to still retain Bonifacio and DeRosa
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 If I were running the team, I'd let Santos 30 day rehab window go as long as I could before making a move. I'd try to move Oliver ASAP. Since he's going to retire at the end of the year (more than likely) I'd take anything someone was willing to offer even if it was just cash. It would open both a 25 and 40-man roster spot but since this is AA it's probably going to be what was said above where Perez is exposed, Davis is DFA or some other strange move that really doesn't need to be made yet allowing one of the wasted roster spot holders to stay.
