dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 f*** the Red Sox... Stay away from Lee!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Papi should shut the f*** up too. This is so NBA with the players trying to make GM decisions (or at least influencing public perception). I like Ortiz but this brings him really far down in my book.

Ortiz "We want a power hitter....Iglesias isn't the answer" lol
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 f*** the Red Sox... Stay away from Lee! Seriously though The scary thing is they have the money thanks to last year's purge Not sure Lee wants to play there though...
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Bautisa for Bogaerts + Bradley, get er done AA!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Ortiz "We want a power hitter....Iglesias isn't the answer" lol Arencibia for Middlebrooks
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 Jays get Lee + Papelbon for &^%$#$%^^% Jays send Papelbon to the Tigers for Castellanos + Avisail Garcia
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Arencibia for Middlebrooks Why would we want a hitter that is worse than JPA?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 why would we want a hitter that is worse than jpa? wut? Middlebrooks at least plays defense.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 wut? Middlebrooks at least plays defense. And we have a 3b who is better we dont need middlebrooks. Besides JPA has wayyyyyyy more power (15 hrs on pace for 30) and a better avg than middlebrooks
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 And we have a 3b who is better we dont need middlebrooks. Besides JPA has wayyyyyyy more power (15 hrs on pace for 30) and a better avg than middlebrooks No... JPA is the worst baseball player on earth, he wouldn't fetch Middlebrooks... he wouldn't even fetch a bag of balls.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I was just suggesting swapping two underperforming players who might need a change of scenery. Does it make baseball sense maybe not
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Amaro probably values Papelbon more than Lee. Probably re-signs him to a big extension.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 They already have an Arencibia in Salty. Yeah but they have the better version.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Salty is what JPA should be. It's like the Lawrie-Machado thing. Salty's only carrying tool is power, but he can take a walk and is improving on defense. Yup. JPA clearly is reluctant to change his approach and his comments in the past indicate this. I am just tired of this s***. We have enough good bats to keep us in games (Reyes, JB, EE, Lind, Rasmus, maybe even Lawrie if he gets his s*** together), there is no reason to keep JPA here. We need a fundamentally sound catcher who can catch, block and throw the ball, not some arrogant douche who is hurting this team more than I think most people realize. I really think if we went with an all glove C and 2B, which likely would cost peanuts, this team probably has a winning record right now.
