So who wants to buy my tickets for Sunday

Gross

It's not often you get to see a legend like Todd Redmond, in the flesh. You keep those tickets.

I wouldn't mind if it were Stroman, but it would be nice to stop plucking arms from AA after just a few starts. Hutch/Alvarez/Nolin, now Stroman?

Yup. I'd like to see Stroman and Nolin promoted to AAA for a good part of the 2nd half and hopefully Hutchison joins them in August. It sucks that Morrow, Romero and Happ's injuries/brokenheartedness have have f***ed up the rotation, but it is what it is, don't screw up the only good going on in the upper minors.

What was wrong with plucking Hutchison from AA? I see no evidence to suggest he wasn't ready, nor any evidence to suggest that his promotion caused his injury. Alvarez also performed well during his initial season. I'm not saying get Stroman up here to stay, but I'd take 2011 Alvarez or 2012 Hutchison over Redmond in a heartbeat. Stroman is the most competitive play we have at the moment.

f***, I'd even take Nolin over Richmond.

Stroman had 13 Ks tonight in AA, and he's on the right schedule. Do the right thing, Fat Greek.

Even if I was fat, I'd call AA fat. I'd call myself fat too. He is objectively obese at this point.

Can we just fire AA? The man has no idea what he's doing.

And what the f*** would you do ?? blow some more options on guys that aren't close to being ready ?? Bad enough we called up Romero after only one start and screwed him up then blew an option on Nolin . I'm still pissed at that . Or do you want to gut the minors even more for a rental when 1/2 the frigging team is injured

If you want to post s*** , give alternatives

Just another bad move, Strolman should start.

Wouldn't be surprised if these idiots start Thad Webber for a game, let him get destroyed, then DFA him 2 min after the game.

Can the Jays give this guy the Roberto Colon surgery on his whole arm?

I do agree with BTS on Cecil . It is Cecil time . start stretching him out

Shouldn't be hard to make up 9 innings with our ridiculously, unnecessarily huge number of bullpen arms... Start Cecil, depending on where he's at after 2 or 3 innings, go McGowan or Delebar, Oliver, Loup and Janssen in for the save.

This s*** is easy!

Especially when Redmond is only going to go 1 1/3 anyway before getting lit up. Planning to start the game with the bullpen allows you to map it out ahead of time and is less taxing on the pen as a result. Go Cecil-McGowan-Loup for 2 or 3 innings each, depending on efficiency.

We maybe should have just decided exactly that - bullpen game on Sunday. There are many days off coming up and we could just use a 4 man rotation *IF* they give us good length outings. Is that optimal? No, but the bullpen is awesome and it's probably better than using Redmond or Romero for 1-2 starts.

starts on Sunday and DFA'd on Monday.

Sunday's game is in the afternoon. He'll get DFA'd Sunday night, don't have time to wait til Monday..

The new DFAOFT will be picked on Monday.

lol. For this team to have a chance everyone had to stay healthy and perform as expect, especially the rotation, neither has happened.

Yup. And if Edwin and Lind are injured for an extended period of time, we are absolutely f***ed.

I will say, his numbers haven't been bad this year at all. I think he's at least a shade better than Ortiz or Wang.

I'm so jaded at this point. They just won 11 in a row and I hardly cared.

NO Lets be honest , BTS is right in the fact that AA had no AAA depth and the guys in AA were far from ready then the panic set in when the usual happened with Morrow (Rich Hardin the 2nd and JJ (Rich Hardin the 3rd) went down . Had he depth ( Jenkins was on the DL , Romero changing his delivery and McGuire stinking it up ) then the panic moves like calling up Romero after only 1 A ball start and the Nolin fiasco would not of happened . Lincoln and Rogers had not been stretched out .

AA knew Morrow,s and JJ,s history , He knew at the start of the season the status of Romero , Jenkins and McGuire . Hindsight is always 20-20 and I hate people saying he should be fired because all indications are that Rogers and Beeston pushed the offseason moves but no one can ignore the issues that were right in front of AA,s face .

Jon Rauch Opts Out Of Orioles Contract

by Steve Adams, Jul 3 at 1:43 PM CST

Right-hander Jon Rauch has opted out of his minor league deal with the Orioles, who have granted him his release from Triple-A Norfolk, according to Rich Dubroff of CSN Baltimore (on Twitter). The veteran setup man and former closer signed a minor league deal with the O's back on June 1.

Rauch, 34, agreed to a one-year, $1MM contract that contained $750K of incentives with the Marlins this offseason, but the Fish designated him for assignment in late May. Rauch posted a 7.56 ERA with 8.1 K/9 and 3.8 BB/9 in 16 2/3 innings for Miami. His 3.48 FIP suggests that he was considerably better than his ERA indicated during his brief stint with Miami.

Romero/Happ/Morrow/JJ/Reyes/Lawrie/Bautista....Jesus who else have been injured? Oh Dickey pitching injured since his second start to name a few....:P I hear what your saying though.

Morrow, JJ, Reyes, Lawrie and to an extent Bautista were/are all injury risks. Normal fans on the internet knew some or all of them would likely end up on the DL at some point, how did a front office full of baseball executives not realize and plan for it?

Also, Romero was awful beyond words last year, counting on him as 2009-2011 Romero was another mistake.
