Hayes wasn't horrible tonight but Leo and Matt need to cool it with the compliments. He's only +3 with 0 points and 6 boards.

Really not that special.

Did Valanciunas even play in the 4th quarter? Seriously Casey?

Did JV get hurt? No reason for him to be sitting with 15/14 and a +14. This kind of s*** is what scares me for the playoffs

JV played extremely well too. Was a beast on the boards and looked extremely confident with the ball in his hands.

Mind blowing really. Keeping him in during crucial periods in the game is so important for his development...

I think they don't want JV playing over 35 mins? That's only thing I can think of.

He was clearly the strongest player down low by far, they couldn't stop him, he was getting offensive rebounds as he pleased...no reason for him to not even finish the game.

Can anyone really see this team beating the Bulls or the Nets anymore, even with game 7 at the ACC. They pick and choose when to defend and they just aren't that good offensively to turn it on whenever they want to

I know you're just stating facts, but that is still ridiculous, at one point it was a 4 point game, you don't think it would have been smart to put the best big on the court? This is the kind of coaching that will get badly exposed against a decent team.

Noah and Taj Gibson will rape our backup bigs, the only way we stand a chance is if Lowry can take over, and at least Vasquez/De Colo can put up a decent fight.

Im not going to make any judgement until Pat is back. The difference he makes over Hayes and Novak is insane.

I am confident we would beat the Nets in a 7 game series, Bulls would be a toss up imo. However, the way you beat Thibs D is athleticism and we certainly have a lot of that.

Agreed on all accounts, we would really need to drive a lot and draw contact against the Bulls, getting their starting bigs into foul trouble would be huge, and we certainly have players capable of doing that. PPat is key to us at least putting up a good fight. The less we play Hayes and Novak the better off we'll be.

It's that time of the night again!

T. Ross 36:44 9-16 FG 5-9 from 3 +19 24 pts

A. Johnson 30:02 4-6 including a 3! +8 10/7 with 4 offensive boards.

J. Valanciunas 35:02 7-12 +14 15/14 with 3 off. boards.

D. DeRozan 39:44 5-13 FG 10-11 FT +20 20/7

K. Lowry 34:11 8-17 FG 4-8 from 3 +11 23/9 boards

G. Vasquez 16:53 3-10 1-3 -2

C. Hayes 26:57 0-4 +3 6 boards, 3 off. also added 3 blocks

J. Salmons 13:19 -10, literally did nothing, except for one lucky steal

N. De Colo 03:09 -11 wasn't very relevant either.

T. Hansbrough 03:59 -7 barely played but managed to get 2 fouls

Sorry for the terrible spacing but otherwise it would have been really annoying to read.

Just noticed as long as we go 7-4, we will win the division if Brooklyn loses more than 1 game from here on out

After we play MIA, IND, HOU our final 6 games = Bucks x 2, Phi, Det, NYK x 2. Realistically shouldn't lose more than 1 of those games. Bucks and Philly are auto wins.

Feel pretty confident about that top 4 seed

T-Ross is quickly becoming my favorite player. Once he gets a little more confident and little more consistent, he's going to be a BEAST. I think he's got a lot more in there on the dribble too.

Yes I could see them beating both. Our offense is streaky but they can turn it on huge in spurts. (Look at the Atlanta game, looked to be over and tehn they outscore the Hawks by like 20 in the 4th). Lowry can take over games by himself.

I just saw our players individual Off and Def rtgs. Best on the team....Patrick Patterson Off - 107 Def 97, a net of +10!

If we've learned one thing about this team it's that it's become increasingly apparent that they have no depth past about 6 guys.

bench players outscored 50-7.

The only reason Hayes was a plus was because Casey stuck him out there with 4 starters in the 4th quarter for some additional minutes. Without that he would have easily been -10 or worse.

Would like to see him get back to play Orlando on Sunday so he has at least one game under his belt before the Miami game. Even to get him 10-15 minutes against Orlando would be good.

Hearing there is optimism that he'll be back tomorrow.

Like you said, we will really need him on this big 3 game stretch

Love how Ross is playing tonight. If he brings this every night, we have something special on our hands

He's just freakishly athletic. I don't know if he's scared of the contact downlow but with his athleticism he could make it to the line 10 times a night easily.
