I was way too caught up in the celebrations last night to come here and post, but did anyone complain about the gross old suits groping and fondling the Larry O'B before the players even got to touch it? That felt so wrong and just kept going. I felt like I was getting diddled, and not in a good way.

Yes!

Tanenbaum and that piece of s*** Ed Rogers who nearly f***ed up our baseball team with his tampering stupidity. Rich idiots don't deserve nice things but get it.

So yeah as I expected the Ujiri/cop scandal is blowing up into another race debate. Ah well. If some racist ******* cop helps Masai determine that he's gotta stay the hell away from the United States, it will be a good thing for the Raptors.

You'd think they'd know, as part of their job, who the primary guys are who would need floor access if the Raptors won regardless of whether they immediately see the pass.

Seriously though, it sounds like a lot being made out of nothing. Send the cop a case of Canadian beer with an apology note or something.

Why should we apologize for the cop being a massive dickhead? f*** him, no chance Ujiri did anything. He was literally on stage making a speech after the team won FFS.

Lol, Kenny Williams (I think) on teams wanting to nab Kawhi and top executives:

"If you take a girl to the prom and you're the only one who wants to dance with her, you took the wrong girl."

Because someone has to be the adult. Besides, it sounds like Masai DID push him, which you should never do regardless. I don't think an apology is unreasonable, but there shouldn't be anything beyond that. There was clearly no intent for a malicious action.

Well the guy apparently is being a bitch about it, going to the hospital and all to get checked out so that probably complicates making it go away

Apparently 44% of Canadians watched at least some part of game 6.

That is absurd if true. I have had the most random people talk to me about this playoff run, people I couldn’t imagine having any interest in the raptors. It’s great that they were able to captivate an entire country.

Fun fact: Patrick McCaw is the first player in NBA history to win a ring in each of his first 3 seasons.

Bring back McCaw!!!

Kelly said that rather than arrest Ujiri on international television, the department decided to take the "high road" and file a misdemeanour complaint to local prosecutors. He said the officer was not seriously injured in the alleged incident, but did complain of pain in his jaw.

Lmao what a f***ing pussy, man US cops are delicate little flowers.

He was probably scared for his life, tbh Ujiri's lucky the guy didn't blow him away.

Anthony Davis dealt to the Lakers for Ball, Ingram, Hart, and three 1st rounders, including the 4th overall pick this year.

Wow. Kind of seems like a lot but Ingram was going to have to get paid soon and he’s one of those Wiggins guys that will get max when they shouldn’t. Ball still has potential but can’t stay on the court and has a ton he needs to get way better on. After this year the hope would be to have late 1st rounders.

Plus now a 3rd guy may come there. I’d say a win for LA

Already offered Ingram and the 4th to the Knicks to move up to 3 and take RJ. Knicks would love an overrated stat stuffer like Ingram.

This makes the Kawai deal look even better. The Lakers mortgaged their future, the Raptors made theirs brighter with a salary dump, plus a banner.

The LeBron apologetics are strong in this one. Picks one kinda sorta maybe weakness for the Pelicans and focuses on that. How about the three first rounders? Lakers fans better hope this year is much less of a clusterf*** and that Davis can stay healthy.

Williamson, the fourth pick plus a couple of young guys that could thrive out of LA. The Pelicans could be pretty good next year.

Really nice deal for the Pelicans when considering how little leverage they had.

The picks are in 2023-2025 basically. Could work out well for the Lakers but might be pretty hampering if things don't go well in the next couple years

Posted

This is a good deal for the pelicans but the lakers still win because they get Davis. At the end of the day a superstar that is guaranteed to sign for the next 5 years or so is the premium asset in the nba.

I don’t know if they had a choice but I would have chosen lonzo over Kuzma. Ball to me seems like the ideal 4th guy on a title team. Plays great team defence, is a great passer and loves to make the extra pass.. and I feel like he will be able to knock down open threes going forward. Kuzma fills it up but seems kind of erratic at best defensively.

I also think they shouldn’t blow their load on Kemba with their space. If butler or Leonard(!) want to opt in that would be cool but otherwise using that money to fill it out might be wise.

At the end of the day though, Davis is a superstar in his prime and this is the kind of gamble you have to make.

It's awesome. Suck it 9-5ers!

It actually works for me too, I just thought it was a weird choice.

The problem is, you don't get just Lonzo. You get the fun little added addition of LeVar.

I think they fell out and lonzo has disavowed his dad’s brand.

The dad is still in the picture and gets camera time still. Just not as much. When Lonzo fizzled and the second son wasnt even NBA material, Lavar just became the clown show that he is. But he’s already gone on record as saying that’s the worst trade LA will ever make and he guarantees they’ll never win a title now
