He literally just joined the team dude. Give it a few games.

 

It's easy to think that way after many years of Casey never supplanting a starter just because said guy has been the starter. Gasol does everything better than Ibaka (except maybe guard in space), the team needs him playing with the starters to hit it's ceiling.

There is no need to start him right away. This team is winning games, it’s about working him into the system and getting this team ready for the second half to secure a top 3 seed and then obviously the playoffs. He will be starting eventually.

Raps sign Meeks to a 10 day contract. Hasn't played since late last season due to suspension, but he's a good 3 point shooter (and we needed to get up to 14).

The Raptors have been "clutch" lately. As in they've been winning close games that they should be winning by 10+ points.

 

Yup. Kinda nervous about their play. They're not dominating weaker opponents like they used to.

No Leonard again today. Just curious that when some team signs him to a max deal will he still sit for 20 plus games or is it just a precaution because he missed all of last year.

Well it's two things. If the team is good enough, it doesn't really matter if one of your players sits out a number of games for injury prevention, teams are already doing this to their own star players albeit to a lesser extent. But to touch on your second point, the Raptors are doing everything possible to get him to re-sign in the offseason, so if that takes a bit of ass kissing and allowing him to sit out a bunch of games so that he's content and well rested for the playoffs then so be it.
