jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Bill Simmon's was making a point and I think it's relevant, the Sixer's might be better off staying away from James. They can compete with the studs they have and it might hurt their development to be playing second fiddle to Lebron James. Bill Simmons is an idiot. LeBron is a team first, high IQ workhorse who mAkes everyone around him better. How can that possibly make then sixers worse

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 So you're saying LeBron isn't just a slightly better Kobe Bryant? I actually remember watching a game that involved Lamar Odom faking a handoff to Bryant And hitting the game winner himself. Kobe looked pissed.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 So you're saying LeBron isn't just a slightly better Kobe Bryant? Kobe could score...that's about it.

onwego Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 I look forward to five or so years of another bitter Philly/Boston rivalry, it's been about 35 years or so since it last mattered....
onwego Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Refs blow a call at a critical moment, Boston advances. Philly collapses in the clutch again, just like clockwork; they always have the showcase talent....
onwego Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Have you not read what I posted more recently? I regretted not taking Cleveland @ +170 underdogs for the series and something like +700 live bet when they were down 14 points after the first quarter in the first game. s***, I hate being a homer....when you're a homer you know your team best, but I can never bring myself to betting against my own team. It's not a good thing to get cold enough to bet against a team you are cheering for with all your heart and soul.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 -demar next and we got the perfect offseason
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 -demar next and we got the perfect offseason I think JV gets moved
onwego Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I think JV gets moved a few experts are saying 9 of the top 10 Raptors are pretty much locked in for next year, they won't be leaving. and benching JV in Game 4, who then played well, and going with Nogueira at the end of the first half, maybe was a sign Casey had totally lost his mind.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Dwayne Casey fired Wow that's a brave move. Have to assume big roster changes are going to happen now too.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I think JV gets moved jakob and ibaka trying to rebound next year? yikes
Caper Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 They are still in no position to win a championship. Next two years are ~50 wins, then bounced first round.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 The Wizards seem poorly run Maybe we can trick them into a Demar for Beal trade
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Dwayne Casey fired Don’t they have like a special awards show this year? Lol. That’ll be an interesting acceptance
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 -demar next and we got the perfect offseason The theory I keep hearing is that the Raptors are standing pat and firing the coach is the one move they can make. Looks like no one else will say anything nice so I will. Dwane Casey - Basically the Flip Saunders of this franchise, a gentleman and a decent coach. But decent wasn't good enough to get this team beyond a certain point. This move was needed if this team has any chance of progressing. Good luck Dwane.

That’ll be an interesting acceptance bring Casey back for the raising of another division title banner in October at Opening Night. Matty and Jack can SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM on air with delight the whole time at this amazing accomplishment and we are there!!

Lowry can actually play the kind of game they need to play but Demar can't. I just don't see how it gets done though given that it should be painfully obvious to every NBA front office that Derozan isn't worth giving up real talent for.

After reading about the 76’ers coach’s exit press conference, pretty clear they’re going to make a full court press for LeBron. It was already known Simmons and Embiid wanted him. Hypothetically if he goes there (which is at least a possibility) and you have Boston with their players coming back and both those teams have decent draft picks coming... I just don’t see any move TOR could make that would even get them close to competing with those two clubs anytime soon. So even if you lose a star player you’re still not a clear lotto team. So idk.. prob just better to roll with what you got. At least have a competitive team that lets you guys drink the juice a bit during the regular season

When DeRozan was moving the ball and the Raptors were destroying middling teams by double-digit scores and everyone was going horny over his play, I think it was you who had a more grounded opinion? Some others too. The point being though is that he has demonstrated an ability to play that type of game but reverts back to his old ways. Perhaps a coach who is a little less of a gentleman gets more out of him when it counts. At this point as Raptor fans we can only hope this is what happens.

I think the pressure defense in the playoffs was more responsible for the change (and we saw all the turnovers, which kind of confirm that). Regardless, you can either adapt or go home, and the Raptors didn't adapt. Ultimately I think that, rather than the exit to Lebron itself, was what did Casey in.

Also, the sixers are managed by Colangelo. He'll screw the team up pretty soon. I agree the Celtics are gonna be a powerhouse though.

Rondo would also help free up Lowry to be more of a shooting guard.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Boston really coming out and punching CLE in the face They sure are. I only started watching after the baseball game was over, but it looks like Cleveland is missing a LOT of open shots.
