nextyear Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 It is good to see the Raptors win tonight. I thought the Cavaliers would win in 4 game but I am just a casual fan and don't know much about the NBA. If Jonas Valanciunas could play, would the Raptors have a chance against Cleveland? In the games I watched he seemed like an important part of the team.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 biyombo has to be re-signed, masai please what is someone going to pay him vs what is he worth 60/4 vs 40/4?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Hmm Kyrie hurt? Or Kyrie's ego "hurt"? Min, If you're gonna steal my photo for facebook, at least drop a thanks. :~) GD
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 what is someone going to pay him vs what is he worth 60/4 vs 40/4? He's looking at at least 12 per
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 He's looking at at least 12 per That would be why I said someone could pay him 60/4 But what is he worth is the question
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Mavs, Lakers, Houston and Atlanta will bid for him
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 That would be why I said someone could pay him 60/4 But what is he worth is the question In this nba he is. Thompson got max money for bascially being the same guy.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 what is someone going to pay him vs what is he worth 60/4 vs 40/4? 4/60 would be a good deal. Tristan f***ing Thompson who he just destroyed signed for 82 mil.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 4/60 would be a good deal. Tristan f***ing Thompson who he just destroyed signed for 82 mil. Not for this Raptors team it wouldn't. You don't pay 26 million for 2 guys who can't be on the floor at the same time.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 You can always trade JV... Bismack + assets from JV trade or JV and Bismack walks away for nothing? What are we trading JV for
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 What are we trading JV for This, if nothing that knocks your socks off move on. A young stud center that is on a cheap contract is a huge asset
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 You can always trade JV... Bismack + assets from JV trade or JV and Bismack walks away for nothing? I'm sure the FO will look at the possibility. I really don't see room for both to be on the team though.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 btw i'm not advocating JV gets traded. He could certainly develop into a way better player than bismack and bite us in the ass.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 btw i'm not advocating JV gets traded. He could certainly develop into a way better player than bismack and bite us in the ass. he already is
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 And JV stepped up big time defensively in the post season.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 well in the regular season they were closer than you think. Biz was that much better than JV on defense but JV had stepped it up in the postseason.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I still don't know who you're advocating trading JV for. Of any conceivably available assets, assuming Harden isn't, I don't really know who I'd deal him for.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 well in the regular season they were closer than you think. Biz was that much better than JV on defense but JV had stepped it up in the postseason. no it wasn't lol
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 lol Michael Grange asked Lebron during his presser if he tried to "sell the call" when he got hit in the face before realizing its Thompson. Lebron laughed it off but you could tell he wanted to say something back and embarrass Grange.

I really don't know what his value is, it's masai's job to find out and to decide if that is worth replacing JV with biyombo.

Here is the simple answer, look to take the cap hit and trade Demar next offseason
Caper Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Hard to believe people talking Bismack as a max guy, but if Val wasn't hurt no one would be talking about him.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 No one is talking about Biz as a max guy lol
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 If the Lakers get Demar, I could see them moving the pick though. With no C they could use JV.

crazy47larry Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 trading JV for the #2 pick would be silly. biyombo is going to cost close to the same $$$ as JV and simply isnt as good. its not like we are saving anything in the long run other than a couple million in cap space a year. plus the draft is such a crapshoot its not like the #2 pick is guaranteed to be good at all. here are 10 years worth of #2 picks. 2015 D'Angelo Russell 2014 Jabari Parker 2013 Victor Oladipo Indiana Orlando 2012 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Kentucky Charlotte 2011 Derrick Williams Arizona Minnesota 2010 Evan Turner Ohio State Philadelphia 2009 Hasheem Thabeet Connecticut Memphis 2008 Michael Beasley Kansas St. Miami 2007 Kevin Durant Texas Seattle 2006 LaMarcus Aldridge Texas Chicago i'd say 3 of them are legitimately better than JV (50/50 on oladipo though), 5 of them are absolutely worse, and the jury is out on Russell and Parker. maybe one of them could be better but I doubt it at this point. TLDR = u guys are batshit crazy if u think trading JV is a good idea.

Give him demar's touches and you're looking at a superstar
