burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Pacers, Wizards, Jazz, Pelicans, knicks maybe(Porzingis looks amazing), bucks maybe, pistons maybe, celtics maybe... Only teams I take over Raps of that list would be Pelicans only because Davis is a top 5 player. Maybe Indiana cuz of George. If we were to include front offices I think TOR would go up as well.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I'd take the Jazz easily and the wizards have actually done some s*** in the playoffs with some good young talent. Also, what has the Raptors' FO done to deserve a bump up?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 The Jazz are whatever. It's just Gobert. The Wizards, idk. Lowry => Wall, Beal is injury prone. But they'll end up with KD, so
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 We're talking about the future and present right? I'll take Wall over an injury prone 30 year old pg. As for the Jazz, Gobert and Favors is better than anyone we have and Hayward > Derozan. They're a playoff team in the east.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Fair enough re: Wall but I'll take the rest of our roster over theirs. I'll take Lowry over Heyward long-term and the supporting cast too but Gobert/Favors is impressive.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I factored in Market/growth as well into situation so I think that knocks Utah down a few. Also the fact they are in the Western Conference with the Spurs and Warriors has to count for something.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 #RapHateClub ... right here. Point Zero.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 ^Raptors are a terrible team and a terrible organization Go Warriors
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Steph Curry with the shot chef curry with the pot BOI
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I don't think you could ever hate the Warriors. Not only are they the most talented team in NBA history but they have really likable players. I don't think I've met someone who isn't a Steph Curry fan.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 What channel is LAL/GSW on tonight? Has to be on TV over f***ing UCLA.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 What channel is LAL/GSW on tonight? Has to be on TV over f***ing UCLA. What's a tv?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Kobe Bryant is garbage. It looks like I'm watching Demar, dude should retire.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Warriors are probably the best team ever tbh
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Warriors are probably the best team ever tbh it's a statistical fact
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Watching this team is extra rewarding for me after 20 years of being a Hardcore Warriors fan and going through many tough times.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Watching this team is extra rewarding for me after 20 years of being a Hardcore Warriors fan and going through many tough times. Ever since the days of Baron Davis and, uh.. Yeah, hardcore. Raps should hire Luke Walton as coach. Now.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Hey Curry, make something happen. - Luke Walton coaching.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Yeah I don't think Walton makes any difference. This team would still be undefeated with Casey as their coach. People thought Gentry was the best assistant in the league and now that he is in New Orleans he has been one of the worse HC in the NBA.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Nah as long as we get the notebook that he keeps everything Steve Kerr says transcribed in he's an asset.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Raptors need a new gm before they get a new coach.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Raptors need a new gm before they get a new coach. What GM are they going to get better than Masai? I can't see great candidates rushing to work for the s***** corporate structure of MLSE.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 What GM are they going to get better than Masai? I can't see great candidates rushing to work for the s***** corporate structure of MLSE. Meeeeeeeeeeee
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 What GM are they going to get better than Masai? I can't see great candidates rushing to work for the s***** corporate structure of MLSE. They need to get someone not connected to BC and that doesn't have an attachment to his s***** players.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 They need to get someone not connected to BC and that doesn't have an attachment to his s***** players. Ah so Rob Babcock.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Ah so Rob Babcock. I know we've had bad gms but that doesn't mean we should just be happy with a mediocre one.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I know we've had bad gms but that doesn't mean we should just be happy with a mediocre one. I'd say Masai is an above average one. Yes the T Ross extension was awful but he's also made great moves like the Lowry extension and Bargs trade. He's well respected around the league and most NBA people will tell you he is a top 10 GM. I just can't see Toronto being better off with some other random GM. I also have zero confidence in MLSE/Air Canada President hiring the right guy.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I wouldn't call the Lowry extension "great." Just the right move to make that most GMs probably would've made.
