Masai needs to bring in some defensive stoppers at the 1 and 4 positions.

....And fire Casey, because he doesn't understand how to get the best out of his roster (JJ).

Our best healthy player right now gets another DNP. I've never hated a coach so much

Can't Masai step in and do something tho? He must see this problem that we can all see.

Maybe he doesn't see it. Lots of red flags when he kept talking about "chemistry" after the off-season and trade deadline now that I think about it.

Why do we even have a coach? What does he do...

The guy has no control over his players, they do whatever the f*** they want. My god that was depressing. Can't wait until the offseason to see how we retool/who they bring in as a new coach.

It's funny, cause I'm not cocky as so far that I'd be like "Oh I won't go to a playoff game this year there'll be plenty of other opportunities," but I don't really want to spend the money to go see this team. It's just not fun team to watch play and I don't think they're going to get very far either.

I dont know, all he can really do is fire Casey and hand over the team to Nick Nurse or someone, which would be a great thing. Johnson has to put up a Jimmy Butler type performance every night of he goes back to the dog house.

The bias Casey has for certain players is pathetic.

Casey says in hindsight he should have called a timeout on the last possession and could have gotten James Johnson in the game last night.

NO s***

What did we all not want when Masai came over? A treadmill team... but here we are. Masai has basically kept with BC's core and now we're 1st round fodder two years in a row. This offseason will be the time for Masai to make some bold moves and we'll get to find out if he really is a good gm or whether we crowned him too early like BC and AA.

He's just a strongly patient GM; of course we're still a treadmill team. Everyone was expecting a long term rebuild. He's set us up with great flexibility. The only things he's really done so far have set us up very well; he got 2Pat (and in a roundabout way, Lou), took a flier on Greivis that didn't pan out, and got rid of Gay. He got us actual high-value assets for Bargnani, which was miraculous. And he got us James Johnson.

It's not like he strongly changed the direction of the team. Demar, Lowry, JV, Ross, Casey and co are all still holdovers from BC. He's just slower-working and more patient than the majority of GMs, so yeah, it makes sense we're still a treadmill team.

Like you said, time is coming to see what Masai is made of, but he's never really done anything at all to make us doubt him; even his worst moves (Casey extension and Greivis) have had out-plans (Greivis' expiring contract will be a trade chip next year, Casey can be fired at minimal cost).

Still don't see how we are going to get a superstar in FA or drafting in the 20s. Masai initial plan was to tank but New York nixed the Lowry trade and we caught a bit of fire with him playing at a star level for 1 and a half seasons. Now he's regressed and we're a mediocre team with very limited potential to be more since we only have one young player with a fairly high ceiling.

All depends on how well we can do in FA. We'll have plenty of room to land a star, we'll have to see if we can lure one here, which I don't think most of us are qualified to since it varies so strongly (from Russ Martin to "I don't like the oreos," who knows what people think of Canada anymore).

Yeah I don't have much confidence that this franchise can lure a star player. Maybe a Paul Milsap level player but that's about it.

Wow Kevin Durant out for the season with a third surgery on his foot. Hopefully he's not the going to be the next Rose.

I dont think it matters where the raps finish the season, there really aren't any teams that will make the playoffs that I can see them beating in a series.
