SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hopefully he gets some good PT this time around
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 http://www.nba.com/2015/news/features/john_schuhmann/02/18/talking-numbers-with-steve-kerr-warriors/index.html Prepare to be green with envy. Kerr is amazing and thinks exactly how I would want a coach to think. Fantastic hire by GS
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Larry Sanders bought out by Bucks (will receive 13 of the 40M he was promised) Reggie Jackson requests trade from OKC Now I'm not a rocket scientist but Larry Sanders seems like a f***ing idiot for taking this. He can re-coup those dollars if he finds a good fit for a team but it's not guaranteed.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Jamal Crawford also on the block.... He'd be an amazing spark but he and Lou basically provide the same thing.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Dragic trade also imminent from PHX. Lots of drama so far. Love Dragic. Not sure about a max deal but he's a great piece to build around (Lakers?) PHX getting what they deserve though. LOL @ committing all that roster space to three starting PG's. Dragic is arguably the best of the three.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Jamal Crawford also on the block.... He'd be an amazing spark but he and Lou basically provide the same thing. He's pretty much a taller, slightly better Lou.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Maurice Harkless also available. I still love him.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 He is old but he's a smart player who plays below the rim anyway and doesn't rely on his athleticism. Ross is brutal so the only real asset we're giving up is the first round pick, which would hold minimal value at best. The salary really isnt an issue since i doubt we're going to sign someone big in FA next year. If he was a smart player he wouldn't take a s*** ton of mid range jumpers as a PF..Even if Ross isn't playing well he is still an asset. Ill take my chances with getting a FA over a minimal upgrade on the bench.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 He makes the open mid range jumpshots though and doesn't chuck at will.... He isn't a minimal upgrade over Hansbrough A player costing you games because he's to much of a pussy to take contact isn't an asset, it's called a liability
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Afflalo to Portland. Looks like picks as the return.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 So Hinkie and the Sixers just murdered the Nuggets. Got them to send a first round pick just because Philly would take in Mcgee
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I don't see how selling a non-lottery pick for 12 million is getting murdered exactly.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 The deadline is today at 3?
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I don't see how selling a non-lottery pick for 12 million is getting murdered exactly. I guess that was too strong of a word but the point being they don't need the space they have so they basically were given a pick around 20 for free
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Maybe they're planning something this offseason and do need the space?
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Looks like we're going to be standing pat. What's everybody's thoughts? Should we have added a little more depth?
TRM Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 KG going home to Minnesota, per reports.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Maybe they're planning something this offseason and do need the space? Im guessing you are doing your best to play devil's advocate here because Philly only has 14 million on the books next season...
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 KG going home to Minnesota, per reports. Such a bad sequence for Minny. Dealt a first rounder to acquire Thad and then trades him away for a good story
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 He makes the open mid range jumpshots though and doesn't chuck at will.... He isn't a minimal upgrade over Hansbrough A player costing you games because he's to much of a pussy to take contact isn't an asset, it's called a liability He has TS% of .518% so whether he makes mid range shots or not he is inefficient offensively. Not to mention he is only going to play 15-18 mins/game with this team since he is the 4th best big and that is someone who is not going to improve the team enough to make it worthwhile. Honestly JJ at the 4 is probably better anyways.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Whoa Woj reporting that Dragic is going to the Heat.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 It would seem like a wasted opportunity for Toronto to not at least get some incremental defensive upgrade at the deadline. They seem to have a top ~5 offensive team, but a very mediocre defensive one. Not saying they should "go for it", but surely there is some small/cheap upgrade to be had out there. There's not guarantee that they'll be able to score like this next year.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Kanter to OKC. At least they get rid of Perkins which might be the best news in the trade.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Im guessing you are doing your best to play devil's advocate here because Philly only has 14 million on the books next season... Denver would clear the space, not the Sixers. But it shows you how valuable late 1st round picks are
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 East gets a little better. Lol. Looking like Dragic and Jackson headed out of the west.
TRM Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Miami with Dragic is now a concerning possible first round matchup.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Bucks trade Brandon Knight to Phoenix! In return they get Ennis and MCW
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Im guessing you are doing your best to play devil's advocate here because Philly only has 14 million on the books next season... I was talking about Denver's side of things.
TRM Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Apparently Isaiah Thomas is going to Philly now, so many things happening in the last 10 minutes after nothing all day.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
