eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Real classy there DD. Could've seriously hurt Bogdanovic.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Does DD get suspended for that?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 f***ing took him long enough. Ugh, this team.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I've never seen a player more clueless on a defensive possession than that, lol. Not Bargs style awful, but Bruno literally had no idea where he was or who he was guarding.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Why is Casey playing important players like PPat in garbage time? lmao
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 lol Clippers -> Spurs -> Wiz We're f***ed.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 lol All of these former role players come back here and play like Jordan against us. Every single time. Is Turkaglu still in the NBA? I'm anticipating a 30 point game from him this week.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Hey but at least Drake showed up for the first time in 2 months. He's been great for the Raptors.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 His lateral quickness leaves a lot to be desired. He was guarding, well, guards on that last play. It's okay for a lanky-ass teenage wing.

Art Vandelay Verified Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 lol Clippers -> Spurs -> Wiz We're f***ed. Followed by Hawks, Rockets, Pelicans, Mavs, and Warriors. This is going to be a brutal month.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I think the problem are hashtags. First it was #lovethisteam and the jays go into the tank, then #wethenorth rolls out for the playoffs and we lose to the nets.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 So Vasquez is still f***ing awful. I counted at least three times he committed soft fouls without actually making an honest attempt to stop the player- resulted in two And1's
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Lou shooting below 40% now. 2-23 over the last two games. How are these guys just allowed to keep chucking when they clearly don't have their shot going? Where is the accountability from the coaching staff? The ball movement completely dies when it reaches Lou, man. Dribble, dribble, dribble, look for a screen, contested fade away 3.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Through Feb 3rd: TS%: Amir Johnson: 5th in NBA JV: 13th in NBA Usage rate: Amir Johnson: 92nd in NBA JV: 82nd in NBA So yeah. Maybe we can get two of the most efficient scorers in basketball some more touches there Dwane?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 As bad as the shot selection has been the team is going no where with how bad they are defensively. Its a roster issue as they just aren't good defensively on the perimeter. Lowry, Lou, GV, Demar and Ross have all been pretty bad at keeping their man in front of them.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I'd love to see us get someone like Carroll or Wes Matthews this offseason - need that type so badly. Good defender and great shooters
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Demar only fined 15k. Pretty lenient
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Clippers going crazy with the technical fouls tonight, 5 and a flagrant only half way through the 3rd. Lol. Meanwhile they are down by 29. Book it that we get destroyed by them Tomorrow night.

US media trying to turn Chris Paul's postgame comments into a sexist rant (against the female ref who made the ridiculous calls)... which it clearly wasn't. #Murica
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Bruno also reassigned to the D League.. Probably a short stint.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Article from nba.com: Defenders can feel comfortable going under the screen against DeMar DeRozan, who has an effective field goal percentage of just 33 percent (33-for-100, 0-for-1 3PT) when coming off a ball screen, last among the 65 ball handlers who have taken at least 100 shots. He does get to the line a good amount, though.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Demar is so f***ing frustrating. He'd probably score at like a 48-50% clip if he was on a team with a stricter coach since he's so good near the rim.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 If we had a stricter coach, dd would only get 10 shots game which would be ideal.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 It's almost a bad thing when he hits a couple early long distance 2s, gives him the confidence to keep doing it. I agree - if his shot selection was similar to someone like Giannis - who takes 72% of his shots within 9 feet of the rim, compared to Demar who only takes 33% of shots from 9 feet and in - he would be much, much more efficient
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Amare is apparently going to be bought out after the ASB.... He is still an extremely effective player while on the court. Make it happen Masai. -Tyler +Amare = Massive upgrade.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Demar who only takes 33% of shots from 9 feet and in Jeezus. WTF? Are the Raptors analytics averse or something or is this just Casey having his own agenda?
