eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 There were some promising signs from tonight. Shot selection wasn't great but it was better. Ball movement was ok. Only 8 turnovers is good. Casey simply doesn't put his players in the best situation to succeed.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Pretty amazing that JV is probably their best offensive player (outside Lowry?), not as bad as Trashquez or Lou on D and can rebound like a boss, but constantly loses minutes to Hansbro while GV acts like Superman's retarded little brother without consequence. Is Casey high? For a guy who is "always thinking about defense" nothing he does makes a shred of sense.

That pretty much tells you all you need to know. Meanwhile JJ, a guy who can literally guard every position on the floor effectively (yes he'd be better at doing Hansborough's job as well) is nailed to the bench.

Casey likes his bigs to be be able to help and hedge on the PnR but with JV he isn't mobile enough to do that, so thats why he doesn't "trust" him.

He should rework his defensive schemes to make JV less of a liability on that end though, that's why good coaches do. He's running the same defense he did with Dallas with a completely different set of personal, no f***s given. All JV did the off season was bulk up and get stronger. Someone couldnt have told him that wasnt a good idea as it would just get him nailed to the bench?. I've been pretty hard on JV well because, he's honestly an idiot but Casey is 10x worse

He hasn't adjusted to his personnel at all. His system needs above average defenders to be executed well since it's all based on rotations covering up for people who made the rotation before. Everyone needs to be perfect with their timing. I really want to see him removed after this year but I don't feel confident that it will happen

If the coach won't adapt to the players he has then either he has to go or the personnel has to be changed. To just maintain the status quo is f***in' stupid.

I really want to see him removed after this year but I don't feel confident that it will happen I think Masai only gave him the contract extension because the players like him and the team had one of the best seasons ever in the franchise. IIRC when he talked about Casey he said he still needs to improve on some things like everybody else and that he just wants the team to grow. I don't think Masai would have a problem firing Casey if he thinks its what the team needs to go to the next level.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 This lineup looks so lost on offence. Everyone just standing around.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Casey keeps the same startling lineup after the team has started off like a disaster for what seems like 5 games in row.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Are we really going to go with a 2 PG lineup the rest of the way?
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I still have no idea what Vasquez has ever done to deserve all this playing time, especially in crunch time. He's f***ing horrible

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 All star point guard + backup on his best day = backup on his best day running the Offense. What the ever living f*** is Casey thinking? U wonder why u can't score?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Demar is hitting his shot at least.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Start Patterson and JJ ffs.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 We always have a chance if the 3 ball is dropping. Nice push here.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Can someone just tell Derozan not to shoot these pull up bricks from 18 feet? I swear when I watch he makes like 20% of them and it is usually with 15 seconds left on the shot clock.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Lowry DD JJ 2Pat JV Is a great lineup. shame we never see it
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Lol 5 point swing there at the end.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Great end to the quarter guys.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Playing like complete retards.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 The ball movement of our 2nd unit always seems so much better. When Demar is on the floor it seems like everyone just stands around and the ball barely moves.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 They seem to have left the first quarter behind. Looking much better.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
