Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Lowry's a great player, but.....
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 When exactly did you hear this comp?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Apples and Oranges obviously, no one can un man Wendel, not Lowry, lol, Carter couldn't figure it out. What a dumn reporter, lol.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 When exactly did you hear this comp? During the game...Jack Armstrong.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Too funny...terrible efficiency.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 So Hawks-Spurs/Warriors Final?
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Lowry's a great player, but..... The comp in the way it was said makes sense. Basically meant he was a hard nosed guy who doesn't take s*** and makes people own up to their responsibilities, good leader etc.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 So Hawks-Spurs/Warriors Final? Real question is, will the Hawks ever lose again lol
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 So uh Klay Thompson scored 37 thats right 37 f***in points in the 3rd Q alone... GS looking real smart that they didn't trade him for Love.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Still can't get over that number... Teams barely ever score 37 in a Q and he did it by himself. For a guy to set the record for most points in a single Q in this day and age is remarkable.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Wow, that's remarkable. Klay is such a good player, probably the best SG right now, I think it's close enough that you could argue he surpassed Wade.

They're both top 2 for sure though.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Really hoping that 4th quarter gets Lowry back on track. Extremely gutsy performance from him. Tomorrow's game should be personal. Jennings pushed your s*** in last week. Go get your revenge.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Remember when some people thought DD was better than Klay Thompson? LMAO
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Demar is not THIS bad. Come on guys. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/derozde01/shooting/2015/ http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/derozde01/shooting/2014/ From 16 ft to 3 pt line (aka the dreaded "long 2"): This year: 35% of FGA Last year: 39% of FGA At the rim: This year: 20% of FGA Last year: 16% of FGA SSS but his shot selection has actually slightly improved... He's just not finishing at the rim as good as he did last year for whatever reason. Hopefully it's just a confidence issue with the groin.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Am I the only one that thinks this comparison is ridiculous? Why did you focus so much on this comment? Jack made a comment about how Lowry is tough as balls. What is the issue?

Even when he was playing "good" he wasn't that good of a player. He is an inefficient volume scorer which isn't very valuable for a contending team especially when he is average at best on the defensive end. Coaching doesn't help as he seems to be allowed to shoot all these awful shots but even with a good coach I'm not sure he is going to be worth how much money he is going to get in 2016. SG that can't shoot the 3 better be elite in many other areas which Derozan isn't. Best to trade him in the offseason while you can get assets back for him.

I would love to see us get someone like Wes Matthews to replace Demar. Highly doubt we see Demar moved though
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Demar's gone sooner or later, no way an analytically minded GM keeps him around.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Why did you focus so much on this comment? Jack made a comment about how Lowry is tough as balls. What is the issue? Because Spanky is a massive Leaves homer and comparing anyone to Lord Wendell Clark is punishable by death.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Because Spanky is a massive Leaves homer and comparing anyone to Lord Wendell Clark is punishable by death. This^^^^ *Wendel*
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 This^^^^ *Wendel* I honestly don't get the love for Wendel - Leaf fans protect him way more than Sundin and Sundin was by far the better player
Chappy Community Moderator Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Who gives a s*** about Wendel Clark. Lowry is here right now.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Did Wendel win a Stanley Cup for the Leafs? End of discussion!
