I think I've come to the conclusion that Ross would be an elite highschool player, he looks like the type: good shot from range, insane athleticism, average handles.

Even if you don't see all-star potential, he's at least an average starting center in the NBA skill-wise, just no reason for him to have the least minutes out of all the players except Bebe Nogueira.

 

Yea I agree, he is what he is. Great rebounder, solid offensive player and seems to be able to guard opposing big men 1 on 1 effectively. I also honestly believe he's just really a dumb individual and therefore will never properly guard ball screens effectively or anchor an offence the same way a Gasol can.

 

Either way the east is a joke and reaching the conference finals will never be easier. Either play him or trade him..don't wait until some team gets desperate and offers him a big offer sheet

Lol im talking in general. Do I think JV should of got more playing time? Yes I do, I would of stuck him out in the 2nd half to see if he would of created something. But in general people talk about him as though he is some god. I think the biggest issue is he is too heavy. He needs to drop 10 pounds and become more quick as he seems slow out there.

Just for the record, look at Amir's rebounding rates per year. They've dropped considerably the past two years, though im still blaming Primo Pasta boy and Jose Pylon Calderon for this injury problems.

Net rating is a decent stat used in the right context but is useless looking at in small samples. I think it can be a decent tool when used to compare players on the same team. Im not saying Amir is better than JV solely because his Net RTG is better. But when a guy like Amir consistently ranks in the top on his team and then you see how good he is as a defender then he is a very good player for this team.

Ross needs to go to the line more! Only 15 FT's attempted since DeRozan has been out, which is absurd! Also, JV should have played more than 10 mins. Awful game tonight. The Raptors made things interesting in the second quarter, though had a brutal start to the third quarter.
