I actually think the basketball part of the logo is pretty bad ass. Never really liked these types of circular logos, though.

I think the red is probably the best of the 4 (ball,claw). That said I will never buy a hat with that logo cuz it looks awful. Hopefully the Jerseys are nice as that would make a lot of the people mad right now happy. I could live with a bad logo if they jerseys are nice.

You can't be serious? Drake has help provide this team with so much exposure south of the border. It's cool to be "from the 6" now.

 

He's singlehandedly made Toronto cool in urban culture. He deserves to have a statue built outside the ACC (and I'm not joking at all).

 

This is so sick if true. He has the most fake celebrity persona I've ever had the displeasure of being forcibly placed in front of my eyes. 'Urban Culture' must be the most pathetically empty group of wannabe rebels if Drake is their voice. Somehow I think the real urban culture laughs at him and laughs at Toronto. I'm sure the We the North is by a joke to most people. I'm ashamed by it and ~shudders~ 'I Am the North'. Enough with him. Nothing about his 'persona' is real. If he didn't have that smile it'd just be some other talentless hack in his stead.

Yeah I'm kinda surprised that Drake is what's considered "cool" in today's urban culture too.

I think Drake gets too much credit when really its Masai and to an extent Tim L who should be getting the credit for turning around the Raptors. I don't mind what Drake is doing for the Raptors to make it more likely for FA to sign here but personally I'm not a huge fan of him. When I think about it most of my friends either hate Drake or do not care for him much and thats in the 21-25 age bracket.

 

You have to admit he is pretty fake.

That tagline is the worst ever written. It literally only works if you say it in a brooding movie trailer voice. In print it's nearly nonsensical. It's only there so they can get some dramatic visual and radio ads, which they could have done without looking illiterate.

 

And if the Raps were 6-20 no one would give a s*** about what Drake's done. The Raptors are a hit because they play winning basketball.

I don't know a single person who started following the raptors because of drake and if I did I would consider them complete morons. I'm sure some people get off on it, but at the end of the day all the credit goes to Masai and the players/coaches, etc. People care about winning at the end of the day and that is what has re-energized their fan base.

Exactly. Masai going on a bus trip with fans to Detroit probably does more for the Raps reputation than Drake does.

So true. Nicki Manaj and Rihanna are 2 of the worst singers on the planet yet are famous cuz of auto tune and their asses.

 

All this logo s*** seems to be distracting from a game where there should be a ton of Raps fans at. Kinda excited to see it tbh.

If anyone is interested... Elite Sport Tours is doing a bus trip to the Detroit game on Dec 19th (same group that brought the 160+ to Cleveland).

 

If you want me to forward you the info just PM me your email. It's 189+ HST per person for hotel, tickets, and transportation (I'm not affiliated with this group... I went with them to Chicago for a Jays game in the summer though and it's always a great time).
