Thought this was pretty funny.

Bryon Scott on 3 Point Attempts : When asked whether he buys into the style, Scott said: “I don’t believe it wins championships. (It) gets you to the playoffs.”

Seven of the last eight NBA champions led all playoff teams in 3-point attempts and makes.

I saw that too. If thats the strategy the Lakers are going to have they are going to be terrible. Why score 3 points when you can take a Kobe long 2?

Saw tickets to tonight's game at the ACC against some random team from Israel going for as low as 2 bucks on Stubhub if anyone is interested.

Good chance to see Bruno get some extended minutes.

Bebe Noguiera still getting extremely limited minutes... I thought he looked quite good last night while he was out there. Nice shot blocking presence.

This is what scares me a bit about taking Stiemsma... Bebe isn't going to get any playing time at all.

Steve Nash out for the season. His career is likely done.

Imagine if he signed with us a few years ago? Lowry probably never comes back and we would've been hamstrung with that contract.

Thank god we didn't get him.

I read somewhere they were trying to get both.

Are you going to the Home Opener?

Yep bought one of those half season packs this year. I plan on selling most of the tickets, but I wanted the full round playoff ticket access. Buying playoff tickets last year was impossible without way overpaying

Half season packs - so for 20 games? How much did that cost? I wouldn't mind buying a flex pack if it meant a guarantee for playoff seats. Also, I have friends that have season tickets so she's given a presage for seats before they reach the public; however they are crazy expensive.

Yea 20 games. It was about 650 for sideline balcony 7th row ( section 308 I think) which works out for me because it was affordable and I don't mind upper deck at all.

Ah that's not bad. Upper deck for basketball is meh - I don't mind watching hockey in the upper deck though I find for basketball you need to be at least in the lower bowl. Still great value there for 20 games. I'm sure you can make some of your money back if you sell your seats for the home opener and against big ticket teams.

I have tickets to OKC in row 3 of 308 will that give me a decent view? I remember going to one raps game before but it was like row 13 in the corner upper deck and I remember thinking the court was too far away.

Yeah I sat in the upper deck couple of years ago like 10 rows about and the court seemed so far away. Basketball courts are smaller so sitting further up definitely impacts view. You can get away sitting in the upper deck for hockey at the ACC, though for basketball I'd rather just watch the game at home or a at bar and drink more affordable beer then sit up high.

Yeah I know what you are saying..If you have good seats at a basketball game though it is one of the best sports to watch live. If I were to rank my fav sports for watching live vs. on TV it would go:

Hockey

Basketball

Baseball

Football

I wouldn't want any part with the Over for the Pacers. There are so many injuries on that team and even if their defence is still great I have a hard time seeing them score the basketball. Also I don't like Denver in the under. They will be a great team at home because of the altitude and their depth so if they win 13-15 on the road I can see them go over.

Pistons might be worth a look on the over as well as the Hawks, but you are betting on Hoford's health more than anything. Kings and Lakers could be a decent bet for the Under.

Miami won't be nearly as bad as you think. I could see them winning 45-48 games. Phoenix is also a fantastic team. I would take the over on that quite easily. They have one of the best backcourts in the game.

They still have some easy home games early in the season (Philly, Bucks) once everyone but George is back this is still a .500 club IMO. Good defensive bigs alone are more than enough to win some games in the East (even with no guards)
