Like you said just because you have a single owner with lots of money doesn't mean its going to be successful. I'm a sens fan and Eugene Melnyk might be the worst owner in the NHL. Not only does he not spend money but he even was present in player exit interviews. He ran the greatest player in Franchise history out of town as well.

My initial reaction is that I love this deal for the T-Wolves, and wtf at Philadelphia's return. Cavs obviously get the best player in the trade, so they did what they needed to do, their offense is gonna be gud.

That article means nothing to me really, it's just the general manager being cautious with his elite talent. Sit out a little extra at 19 years old to give him the best chance at being healthy.

 

Imagine if people wrote off Blake Griffin after he missed a full season with his knee injury? Guy has only missed 4 games in 4 seasons since then.

If his agent told him that, he should fire him ASAP because no one is going to offer that to him. If an athlete is worth that money, I dont have an issue with it. It's when they have this over inflated sense of worth and dont just appreciate what they have is what irritates me. It's the same situation as Eric Bledsoe openly bashing his team, claiming they low balled him after they offered a very fair multi year deal.

 

And no the context isnt the same when comparing tens of millions of dollars to 60 to even 100K. The context isnt the same at all

I actually love watching Rubio play. He's actually not terrible at shooting the ball from long range but he's ridiculously terrible at converting buckets around the basket.

 

He shoots a terrible percentage but yet, is still a positive player on the court which is a testament to his defense and passing skills.

Well there have been some terrible contracts in the NBA so you never really know. I don't have a problem with a guy asking for more money. If he isn't worth the contract to a NBA team he won't get signed. Why would it matter to me or you if he asks for something above his market value?

Crazy to think a highschool in Orangeville would be in the top 100 let alone 3 for basketball in North America..My buddy lives in a town 10 min away and went through the town a few times. Had no idea they would develop basketball players.
