over500 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Pacers are f***ed They are indeed. Without Stephensen and George, they have no one handling the ball. Hill? Ew
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Lol, their best player is Roy Hibbert.
over500 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Ware hasn't played a single minute of competitive basketball yet.what? He did return and played some games last season. He wasn't particularly a good player and it probably wasn't his future so I don't know what happened since, but he definitely returned.
over500 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Lol, their best player is Roy Hibbert. He's a special player. Putting up 0-0-0 on a consistent basis is no joke.
Nox Verified Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Kevin Ware has definitely played since. But, I don't think we should underestimate the severity of this type of injury either. Just because there were no known complications at the time of surgery doesn't mean there won't be as the bones start to heal themselves. Tyrone Prothro had the same injury and he has trouble walking 10 years and 10 surgeries later.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Marc J. Spears ✔ @SpearsNBAYahoo Follow Pacers guard Paul George had a "good surgery. No ancillary damage" but likely out for next season, a source told Yahoo Sports. Pacers are f***ed Nobody likes to see an injury, especially to a top player but this does make things better for the raptors.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Looks like George will be out at least a year and a half (possibly 2 seasons)
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 He'll clearly never be the same. He's young so he has time on his side but that was f***ing horrendous. Aside from the physical issues it'll also be a huge mental barrier for him to trust his leg again as well. Willis McGahee destroyed his leg back when he played with The U and he recovered to have a solid career. Adrian Peterson came back from a terrible ACL/MCL injury and rushed for 2K yards... It can happen. Odds are against him though. Good for the Raps though. Only teams I'm nervous about in the East are Cleveland and Washington. I see no reason why the Raps can't easily finish 2nd in the EC next year.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Chicago is much more scary than Washington imo Not sold on Rose playing for the entire year.
over500 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Chicago is much more scary than Washington imowashington with Pierce is pretty damn scary.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Washington lost ariza who I'll be shocked if he doesn't out perform pierce next year. Pierce looked done at the end of the year and it carries into the playoffs
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Starting to hope Minny gets Wiggins. It'd just be so likely he goes to TO.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Starting to hope Minny gets Wiggins. It'd just be so likely he goes to TO. He would probably be a lot better player if he stayed in Cleveland.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 He would probably be a lot better player if he stayed in Cleveland. Where he would then stay for the forseeable future.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Wiggins wont be a unrestricted until after 7 years. Forget about him.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Bebe Nogueira has officially signed with the Raps and is no longer affiliated with his Euro League team. Good stuff.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Durant isnt a free agent until 2016, there's zero point in even speculating where he might go. OKC isn't Cleveland. Fun fact: The nets have 65+M committed to just 4 players next year
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Durant isnt a free agent until 2016, there's zero point in even speculating where he might go. OKC isn't Cleveland. Fun fact: The nets have 65+M committed to just 4 players next year All of the moves they made this offseason point to the fact that they'll be making a play for KD when he's a FA. It'll be tough though (Washington rumored to be a serious player as well)
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Washington's just rumored because its his home state and basketball beat reporters are terrible at creating unique stories. Becky Hammon became first NBA assistant coach though, good for her. Figures a team like the Spurs would look past the gender

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Apparently Love to Cleveland for Wiggins ++ is already a done deal. Just finalizing the details. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/234531/Cavs-Wolves-Have-Handshake-Deal-In-Place-On-Love-Wiggins-Trade

It obviously just looks better because of the young kid with no athletic ability falling down.

Combine them and you have something ridiculous lol.
