eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Rumors about a potential Griffin for Lebron swap! http://www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/la-sp-sn-clippers-lebron-james-20140624-story.html Wow
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 The Cavs are getting some pretty big and solid deals for that number one pick. There's still no way in hell they should pass on Wiggins, but Orlando offered the 4th, 12th and Affalo for it. I would take that in a heart beat if I was the Cavs. There is no real clear cut #1 and they'd still get a great player. Heck they probably still get Embiid at #4.

Great evaluation and recruitment system. Tons of data by smart dudes and some idiots. Randle or/and Embiid could drop #8 slot
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Superstars run the NBA. Cleveland doesn't need Afflalo or the #12 pick. They need Wiggins or Parker.

Afflalo is a really solid player but i agree that Cleveland doesn't need him as much as they need a Wiggins type talent locked in for 4 years. That being said Orlando has so many holes on their roster, those 2 picks plus what they can get in a trade for Afflalo will probably benefit them more than a Wiggins or Parker

labadee Verified Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Horrible luck. Huge shame. I think even with the eye thing he would have been a solid contributor. Truly a shame. Marfans syndrome can be diagnosed at quite a young age, so I'm surprised he's only recently being diagnosed.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Yeah I am really hoping Cleveland takes Parker.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Isn't Milwaukee's point guard Brandon Knight? Lol I really hope a well run team manages to grab Wiggins.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Some trades starting to happen. Tyson Chandler back to the Mavs for a bunch of spare parts. Asik to New Orleans for a future 1st rounder
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Draft day finally Elfrid Payton = Damian Lillard
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 It's...... draft night! http://lostquarters.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Ham-Nite.jpg
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Company summer party is tonight..... They couldn't have picked a worse night to schedule it... Want to watch this so badly. I still say that the Cavs trade the pick.

I still say that the Cavs trade the pick. Orlando could trade slot #4 and #12 for Cavs slot #1 (Weggins). What a s***!!

If those picks turned into Embiid and Stauskus, would it be that bad of a trade? Hard to say. I like Wiggans, but its not like he's a guaranteed top of the league player.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Not a big Stauskas fan. take your pick of who you want at 12, but it could be the thing to do if you don't think you can get more overall talent by trading down.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Not a big Stauskas fan. Kyle Korver ceiling? I really love Elfrid Payton over Exum and Randle (Injury) over Vonleh/Gordon
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Kyle Korver ceiling? I really love Elfrid Payton over Exum and Randle (Injury) over Vonleh/Gordon I think Vonleh has a chance to be really, really good. Big, athletic guy who is an outstanding shooter. Sign me up.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 For you, Top-4 PG: Smart, Exum, Ennis, Payton? Not sure what to think of Marcus Smart. Tons of physical tools and clearly has an NBA-ready body... but is he an NBA-calibre shooter? Not sure.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Raptors targeting Ennis with the Grizzlies 22nd pick
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Raptors targeting Ennis with the Grizzlies 22nd pick No way Ennis be available in the #22 slot.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I really love Elfrid Payton over Exum Ang. No. Exum > Smart (almost tied) > Payton >> Ennis >> Clarkson et al
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I really hope Masai can turn Salmons' expiring contract into an asset. I trust that he will. Edit: Just saw the rumors about us going after Memphis' 22nd pick. Wouldn't be surprised if the deal was built around a few expiring deals. There was talk about the Grizzlies rebuilding a bit (letting Z-Bo walk and trading Conley).
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Wait, what's this about the Grizz pick? Someone catch me up on all the rumors. Hoping Masai makes the right choice cause I probably wouldn't. Don't know who I want. Just picked up some KD 7s (first one in Toronto) after playing for a few hours, then the draft tonight. Awesome, basketball filled day.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Damn the rumor if Salmons + 59th pick for the 22nd pick. That would be.... awesome
