Raps are the peoples champ in this city. They may not ever be the big dog, but they have played hard and earned the attention they are getting.

Raps will own the Spring and TFC will own the summer.

This city just wants a f***ing winner. Doesn't matter what sport. Just go out and play hard and you'll win this city.

BTW, Bulls losing, Raps sohuld have the 3 spot to themselves after tonight =)

The Raps are the opposite of the Leafs right now. They play hard, buy into the coachs system, have a like able roster with decent contracts and they've been coming up clutch when it matters

Great win down the stretch.

One bone to pick....Ross sits in crunch time yet again.

Feels like it's said every single game.

Can't wait for Patterson

That's great if the bulls lose. This city needs a winner and we actually have one now.

Your comment speaks for itself Skinner.

How? My response to his question is legitimate, Casey is indeed a moron. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean I'm trolling.

Wow, looks like I unfortunately missed a great game:

T. Ross 28:03 6-13 FG 1-5 from 3, -3, 17 points and added 4 boards and 3 assists as well as 2 steals. From what I can gather played some great D. An example of +/- not always being the most telling stat

A. Johnson 28:18 4-8 FG, -13, 8/8, and the gamewinner to put the Raps in the playoffs, why not? Also added 2 blocks.

J. Valanciunas 34:34 3-6, 7-8 FT, +9 13/8 with 3 offensive boards and also two blocks.

D. DeRozan 35:05 12-27 FG, 6-6 FT, -16, finished with 30 along with 4 assists and 3 rebounds.

K. Lowry 33:40 4-13 FG, 0-6 from 3, +5, 9/5 AST/6 rebounds.

J. Salmons 23:18 2-4, +15 (wat), 5 points with a pair of assists and steals.

C. Hayes 27:06 3-3, +15, the undersized big man finished with 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals! And once again way too much playing time, though reports still indicate that PPat could be back Sunday or Monday.

G. Vasquez 23:54 5-11 FG, 3-5 from downtown, +5, 15/5 assists, a very good game from our primary backup PG

T. Hansbrough 05:40 -9, added a total of 2 points and 2 offensive rebounds.

Novak played all of 22 seconds...yeah...

well for one ross isn't exactly a big defensive stopper. Casey handled the end of the game right which is part of the reason for our success. I don't understand why everyone's hating on him when the team is winning. Doesn't really make for a credible post on your part. Just hating for no apparent reason.

Um, I can't speak for the rest of the game, but saying that quite possibly our best man-to-man defender "isn't exactly a big stopper" is kind of an egregious statement.

Ross is one of their better defensive players, there is no reason for Casey to have benched him down the stretch when even Novak checked into the game. There have been multiple times this season and the past 2 years that Casey has made questionable calls in crunch time that has cost them games. Just because they're having their first winning season in awhile doesn't mean we should ignore the glaring weakness in Casey's coaching.

I just strongly disagree with the words you've thought of, typed, and posted on the internet.

He's still learning to play big D minutes. Casey didn't like the match up or whatever his reasoning was and still win the game. What's there to complain about?

While I agree that Ross' defense is overrated, he still had an outstanding night and was their best defensive player during the game.

I just don't like sitting JV and Ross during these bigger moments. We can still win the games with them in there and it gives them much needed experience. Salmons doesn't provide much (although he does need to be credited with that foul-to-give with 3 seconds left).

No need to sacrifice future growth for short term gains when we can have both.

Casey is a good coach. There's about 5 teams out there where a monkey could probably do the job because of the veterans and talent on those teams ie. Miami, San Antonio etc. Casey doesn't have that luxury. Now I'm not arguing that Ross doesnt play D well man to man. My point is that Ross isn't the MUST HAVE defender on floor in the last minute. I would like to be enlightened as to the coaching flaws you guys seen in the last 90 seconds of the game to get all uptight about?

This isn't the Pacers. On this roster Ross is without a doubt a guy to have on the court in the last minute of the game, who's the alternative? Salmons? Novak? To put it into perspective, you're not arguing whether to take out LeBron for Paul George, you're basically saying it's fine playing Marco Bellinelli over Kawhi Leonard.
