eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Twitter blowing up right now because of that call.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 That means the Raptors were Favorited by 7.5. Just complete incompetence by the ref My bad. Just too pissed to accept this one. f*** man, that's horrible.
43211234 Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Holy f***, f*** that game. Lowry's postgame interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elAXzf8e7n4v
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I didn't watch the game, but even the king's message board is laughing at how bad the refs were against the raps.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Here it is guys, The worst call in NBA history: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JFRnCZXWzk&feature=youtu.be Holy s***!! Angel Hernadez is a virus.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I hope that video is plastered all over social media. That ref needs to be investigated.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I cannot believe that call. After such an amazing 4th quarter comeback, they do us like that. Moral of the story is this...don't wait till the f***ing 4th quarter to start trying against a 16-32 team.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 The fix is clearly, clearly in. Funny thing is, it just so happens the new commish was in the stands to witness this joke
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Funny thing is, it just so happens the new commish was in the stands to witness this joke Nothing will come from it. The NBA doesn't take it's corruption seriously ala MLB letting the steroid s*** slide for years. They don't want to air their dirty laundry. Donaghey (sp) went on record saying there were many more refs doing the same things that he was doing. Happens way frequently now. You'll see free-throw differentials of like 30-40 in some games. It's so obvious that there is match fixing going on.
Caper Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Horrible call. But I don't think it was the worst call against Lowry this year... Wasn't there a play where he got run over and was called for an offensive foul.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Horrible call. But I don't think it was the worst call against Lowry this year... Wasn't there a play where he got run over and was called for an offensive foul. Well I'd didn't see this game but ... What can you say about that foul call? It's terrible, it would be like an umpire calling strike 3 on a ball that slipped out of the pitchers hand and was flung into the dugout with the bases loaded in a tie game in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out.

It's like some of these lol (not that the list is all that great, just that it might refresh people memories) http://www.toptenz.net/top-10-worst-calls-in-baseball-history.php

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 They just aren't good enough down low. Great guard play but Val is huge bitch (will improve in a few years, I still believe), Johnson is playing like garbage, Patterson isn't really a post presence, and Hayes is just too damn old/small. They need to acquire someone realistic like Al Horford or that big Eurotrash guy from the T-Wolves who can dominate down low. There has also been talk about Greg Monroe from Detroit being on the block, he'd be a great pickup.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 The more I think about it, the more I kinda want Monroe. What would a trade for him look like?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 The more I think about it, the more I kinda want Monroe. What would a trade for him look like? Glen Davis is your man.............and Afflalo?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 The more I think about it, the more I kinda want Monroe. What would a trade for him look like? He's a FA next year so he probably isn't an option. UGH could've had Andre Drummond instead of Ross. What a miss.

Is the bolded Pekovic you're referring to? He's got some decent post work (I haven't watched him a lot though), is a strong guy down low but I don't believe his defense is very good (I could be wrong on this, but seems a bit slow). I agree about Monroe, just the type of bigman we would need.
theblujay Verified Member Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I really believe that Val will develop into the post presence we need, but it might not happen for a couple years. I've been saying for awhile that we need a back up, defense first big. Like Aaron Gray, but better.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Buy low on Anthony Bennett lol... He's turning it around!
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 The Clippers were just beating the sixers 83-33 near the start of the third, I can't recall ever seeing a 50 point lead. Could have been more than that at one point, I didn't look closely.
Caper Verified Member Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Rod Black is the Mike McCoy of broadcasters.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Hayes -16 in 6 mins. Terrible lol. Good win tho.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Losing faith in JV by the day. Man.... He's soft. Brutal defender and he does the same f***ing pump fake every time on offense. Demar was s***. Stop settling for mid range jumpers.... Jesus... Ugly win but I'll take it. Ross was so efficient tonight. Patterson too.
