I just checked the stats and Kawasaki gets on base at a higher clip against LH pitching. Bono is no upgrade whats so ever and regardless he switch hits should be nailed to the bench. Gibby wanted a bat to ph then go with DeRosa......really starting to see that Gibby does not understand how manage his bench.

Wilner is a f***ing idiot

Honestly, the only person worth listening to when talking about the Jays is Hayhurst. Really hits the nail on the head with everything.

Wilner: Arencibia has same OBP as Matt Wieters.

Wieters: .290

Arencibia: .247

Weiters is also the best defensive catcher in the american league and probably second in all of mlb behind molina

I couldn't believe he said that.

JP is leading the league in pass-on balls (10).

I really think the Blue Jays should've DFA'ed one of the bums they're carrying on this team and said so awhile back, but they continue to accept horrible fundamentals from so many of their players that it's really hard to get mad at the players when management accepts their crappyness.

It's not even the past balls, its everything else on top of that..the stabbing at pitches, the inability to handle a 1 hoper to the plate, his poor footwork behind the plate that has been pointed out I dont know how many times by the analysis yet he stil hasnt worked on improving them. O and the fact that he cant make a throw to second base without staying down on his knees, which pretty much takes out all the stength of the throw.

Baseball's clearly a very hard game to play at the mlb level, but it's the fact that it seems like he has no desire to improve on the little things that bothers the heck out of peopl.e

awful game, f*** jpa. the only good thing to come out of this is that bum metaljay is gone.

This team will need to get to 10 games over .500 to be anything more than a tease. I would be a seller if I were AA, but then again, I wouldn't have made the Dickey trade.

Now come the Tigers pissed up ready to win at least 3 of 4.

And the Jays come home pissed up ready to win at least 3 of 4. As well. We'll see what happens.

Well, that and being "pissed" doesn't exactly mean you play better baseball. I hear this a lot in hockey country canada and it's a bit annoying.

AA should get fired for this fact alone:

Bases loaded against a division rival.

And the three f***ing guys you have coming up are:

JPA

Izturis

Boni

And it's not like it's the result of injuries...with Lawrie being the only guy out.

I agree, but the Tigers are better than the Blue Jays, especially the starting rotation. Blue Jays are finding ways to lose games just like they did in April and part of May, but it probably has a lot to do with playing the AL East.

lol this game was in our grasp like 500 times, we lost this game, boston didn't win it.

Ah the Tigers and Jays. Two of the worst teams in MLB at using basic baseball thoughts. Difference is that the Tigers have several world class players and a GM who has an idea out there. :)

Read again bro, I said: 'Blue Jays are finding ways to lose games'.

Thats what good teams do.

Even when they dont play there best they still find ways to win games.

This teams inability to consistantly get on base and also situational hit shows up bigtime when we play AL East teams.

The Tigers can get away with it because they have a loaded pitching staff and the best hitter in the league.

Yep, see several world class players part (including pitching).

Just checked the Tigers rank #1 in team OBP. No suprise that Boston and ST Louis, 2 of the best teams in the league are ranked #2/#3 in team OBP.

Jays rank #19

And with that bullpen, the Tigers may actually be worse.. we have Casey Janssen, Detroit has---nothing. Rondon's not ready, Benoit is a setup man, and their other bullpen arms aren't good.

damn..looks like I missed quite the game..I'll have to go through, glad to see that Metallijay freak gone, if that is true.

Wut?

Closer and setup man?

The Tigers just need good arm bro. Rondon could be one of them.

Not until he improves his command. Bruce Rondon gives up too many hits for someone who throws 100.

Why are you so worried about the Tigers', Angels' and Dodgers' struggles? I hate to break it to you, but these teams' struggles won't make the Blue Jays a better team.

Could AA do it in Toronto? ;)

So hard to say. Right now at least the Tigers don't have to make moves to increase attendance, just try and put out a winner, minimum for them is that they are in the Central and should in the race for a few years anyway. He gave away a bunch of depth for Miggy and it failed for several seasons. Money and a healthy Verlander has helped him get to the playoffs. Most GM's wouldn't have traded Granderson and Edwin Jackson after a second bust season but it ended up being a huge trade for the Tigers. Coke, Scherzer and A-Jax have been huge for them and eventually they made the playoffs in 2011 and of course last year. Most GM's would have been strung up after making so many huge trades and not making the playoffs for three years.

Unfortunately, once Illitch dies, a fire sale will happen--the gravy train of money will stop without him around. They've got to win NOW..
