Bonifacio's OBP, Gose's struggles at staying viable at the ML level and Reyes and Rajai getting injured really hampered that whole strategy.

He manages an excellent bullpen in an excellent way. He uses unconventional methods in building his lineup that other managers would be too pussy to try and pull off. He does what he can in his own power, he isn't a hitting coach you damn llama.

I give quite a bit of credit to Izturis for his previous AB where the ump called a ridiculous 2-0 strike on him and he still got a hit to start the 3-run inning. It also happened to Reyes in his 2nd AB and he got a single, good thing the ump made the right call on Ortiz!

Well he's been garbage this year but last year around this time he had a .330 OBP. He's done it before.
