HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Still a disappointing turnout for the offense. Hopefully they'll score some more in Boston..
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thole deserves more emphatic shakes of hands and high fives. Come on people. He was brilliant.

Auldphartt Verified Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thole deserves more emphatic shakes of hands and high fives. Come on people. He was brilliant. He does seem to have a knack for catching Dickey. I like the way he doesn't frame a target but lets his glove hang and then catches the knuckler like an infielder. He's our only catcher who can keep Dickey's pitches from going to the backstop
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Was Chien Ming Wang eating a live black African frog in the dugout? Is that some Asian tradition
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Complete game shutout. Calling it now. You could just FEEL it Complete game 2 hit shutout Thank you RA Dickey
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 One game winning streak. Let's extend it.

Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Yes, and one series makes a season... Good lord. I didn't say that idiot, I said he has been chasing bad pitches all series... and he has..... . Then you bring up one at bat that is totally irrelevant to what I posted. Maybe reading and comprehension is not your thing.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 You could just FEEL it Complete game 2 hit shutout Thank you RA Dickey Man I got home at 2pm thinking I could catch the final hour of the game and its already was in the 9th inning, lol. Just glad Dickey had a great game and were back over .500. Now off to Boston to clobber the Red Sox.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 One game winning streak. Let's extend it. I am pretty pumped for the upcoming series. I know its still early to be looking at specific series, but a winning series by the Jays gets them super close to the division.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 3.5 games out of the WC. moving up the list
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Huge series imo, we win we are in real good position. The offense worries me, the sox will score runs they are a good hitting team. The bats need to wake up and have a better approach.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Anyhow, I'd been saying it for awhile, this division just isn't that good. I was worried at how bad we were playing defensively...and was complaining consistently at their lack of clutch hitting amosngst other things. But I tried to keep the reactionary posts to a minimum. It's just kinda hard when you see your team playing that f***ing bad. But I said it here earlier as well as at work to a few guys, the rest of this division is easily catchable. Especially the yanks, I got balled out for saying how badly they suck, especially with their injuries. And they were in first at the time, 12 games above .500. Same for the Red Sox, they've been teetering between 12 and 14 games over for a month now and I don't expect that to change from now til the end of the season. The only team that worries me now is Tampa, cos they can pitch. But with Cobb and Moore being rookies and Hernandez being well, hernandez, I don't see them being a run away team at all. I just wish we could play well against them. Not sure what it is, but if you look at their lineup, they're certainly no better than us. One thing is for sure, our bullpen has emrged as one of the best in BOTH leagues. Loving this Neil Wagner guy. Guy throws 12 straight fastballs in an ab and the hitter still can't f***ing catch up to it. The kid is a stud and Cecil has transformed into a f***ing beast. I still say it though, it's only going to take 87 to 90 wins to take this division and I think 90 takes it EASILY.

Agree, but our offense needs an upgrade imo, too many undisciplined hitters with poor plate approach means we go on stretches where we are easily shut down but pitchers who are not even pitching well, like this series.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Yep 3/4 against Boston would be MASSIVE hoping for some help from the Rockies this afternoon.
