bowld Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Dickey is without a doubt our worst pitcher. Get it together gramps
baseballsss Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 LOL it's the 2nd inning and he's a knuckleballer. Chill gibbons will only let him go 100 pitches. He seems to never let pitchers go to deep after 100.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 LOL it's the 2nd inning and he's a knuckleballer. Chill It was just a comment, not an overreaction. So Chill.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 gibbons will only let him go 100 pitches. He seems to never let pitchers go to deep after 100. Bingo. I wish some people would think before they comment on relevant info.
Cello Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 3 up 3 down Hammel strikes out the side WTF
Cello Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Dickey 40 pitches, 26 strikes Hammel 37 pitches, 26 strikes
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Hammels has 5 strikeouts thru 2. what.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Hammel just carved up our 6-8
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Jays made Hammel look great that inning. Need better AB's than that.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 gibbons will only let him go 100 pitches. He seems to never let pitchers go to deep after 100. In fairness to Gibby, Buehrle is the only guy who's really been healthy, and he's looked pretty fatigued around 100 pitches a few times. I suspect if JJ stays healthy now and Dickey's back gets better those two could be allowed to go longer in the second half.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 To be fair, he still gets a relatively high pitch count for a max effort knuckler, he throws it in three different speeds, and mostly upwards of 80 mph and there was the health issue. Don't waste your time. This guy thinks Dickey has unlimited rope.
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Don't waste your time. This guy thinks Dickey has unlimited rope. no i don't i just don't think you have to worry in the 2nd inning about pitch count, that's all
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Everytime they say its a good sign from Dickey and his knuckler is moving he gives up so,e runs.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 no i don't i just don't think you have to worry in the 2nd inning about pitch count, that's all I wasn't worried, it was an observation and a relevant one at that.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 Firing on all cylinders. GO BLUE JAYS
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I wasn't worried, it was an observation and a relevant one at that. ok we'll let it go, since after the quick 3rd inning it's not relevant any more.

There was one game that i remember where dickey pitched really good and got to i think 112 pitches and gibbons pulled him. not that im disagreein with gibbons or anything i think hes been great i was just stating that cause the other guy told chappy to chill.
