The Astros are on that list which is silly since they'll be good again eventually and there's so little tax in Texas.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Kate Upton over Beckinsale and Kunis? NO.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Kate Upton over Beckinsale and Kunis? NO. I'm with you there. KU is really overrated in my opinion. Undoubtedly hot.. but doesn't belong topping lists like she often does.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 Yeah I feel like nobody who played in Toronto would have voted for Toronto. The guys brought in have always been open to extensions and seem to enjoy themselves here, plus the org values loyalty to players over everything. Except guys like AJ Burnett who get booed every time they come back for no reason lol. except Chipper Jones http://www.cbc.ca/sports/baseball/story/2009/03/18/sp-jones-wbc.html

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Wow, I wasn't aware Theo Epstein was still a GM. f***, I wish ballplayers wouldn't do polls like this, they just keep removing any doubt about their stupidity in general.

The Astros are on that list which is silly since they'll be good again eventually and there's so little tax in Texas. The City of Houston is on a Detroit path. It's a hole with high crime and is scorching hot and sticky in the Summer. It's also very ethnically, how do I put this-- not white! That sounds awful but it's a real factor for people with money. Oh did I mention that it's one if the fattest cities in America.
Flashman Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Not much in the poll, to be honest. 6% of players never wanting to play for Toronto is a very small number; and that particular result looks silly when you see that 13% never want to play for the Yankees. Only 7% thought the Jays should be wound up. If anything, it is a very flattering sample considering the nasty stadium, turf, and 20 years of no playoffs. It's easy to forget, but many of the players on the field today will only ever have known the Blue Jays as an irrelevance. They just buy into the mainstream narrative. That is probably why a very small minority think the team should be wound up -- not so much to do with the beautiful country and city.
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Amazingly, not everybody wants to play for the Yankees because of the pressure.. Marlins are no surprise, especially with Loria there. Toronto's not going anywhere--even though the Rogers Centre may not be great, it's still light years better than the O.co and Tropicana Field. Watching old games--the Trop was a dump in 1998 when Wade Boggs hit his 3000th hit, and it's still a dump now. Why'd they give St. Pete a team anyway?
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 No surprise Oakland and Tampa Bay were voted as teams that should be contracted..and Miami got some votes as well.
