Would we be better off to put Dickey and Melky on the 15 day DL . It would be right around the allstar break and it could be made for them to miss only a few games . Dickey can't throw his hard knuckler and 15 days might help . Melky can barely run on his bad Hammies .

 

this would also delay a decision on Kawasaki and the Bull Pen.

probably depends on the players and the health of the players around them. Putting guys on the DL that don't want to go could ruin what appears to be a very improving clubhouse. Doing this with pitchers you can use days off and retroactive dates to bring it down to 2 starts missed but seeing as the knuckleball is a lot about getting into a groove I'm not sure it's for the best with him.

Cabrera should definitely be taken off the field cuz he will not recover if he has to keep running in the OF and he may even make matters worse healthwise. Also, Cabrera's defence in the OF allows the other team some additional opportunities to reach more bases or getting back into games. Since Lind's and Encarnacion's bats cannot be taken out of the lineup Cabrera either has to DH for a good stretch or be placed on the DL. With respect to DH'ing Cabrera it means the Jays will have to be creative position-wise so that both Lind and Encarnacion can be on the field at the same time.

After watching Melky try to run today it was almost painful . I don't think they have any choice , get reyes back and DL the guy before it gets too bad

Yeah we can take Reyes back, DL Melky and get by with Rasmus Bautista Davis Bonifacio. Or should they call up Gose if Melky does a DL stint?

The two should come back about the same time. As of the evening of June 16, the Jays are playing like World Series Champions. Add those two guys then it should be a piece of cake. Nobody in the AL East is that good, I may be scared of the Tigers but as of this morning they have won 5 fewer games then Boston. Gee, I didn't know that manager we had last year was so good. The Orioles scare me far more than the other three teams, they want a Josh Johnson like pitcher so bad. Hum......................
