Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I love Cubans bro Poder latino hermano. Dominicans > Cubans >>>>>>>>>>> Hockey guys I know it's just fun teasing bro haha. No offense to spanky (and a lot of hockey enthusiasts) but I tend to agree with the last part
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Started by landing in London England, saw the 92 Leafs play the Rangers in Wembley Arena, right beside the stadium. Brian Leetch gave me the heads up when he saw me wearing a Leaf Jersey(CLARK)? That was cool, I had no idea. Went to Dieppe to honour my Grandpa moved on to Paris, Nice, Monte Carlo stayed in France a bit it was beautiful, well besides Paris, dirty city loaded with pollution. Lots of s*** to see of course. Moved on to Italy first Pisa and then Rome, highly recommend it. Hung out in Switzerland at the parks with the hippies for a few days, especially the park with the world's largest fountain in Geneva.....good times. Started running out of time so we went back to Amsterdam, heh......than spent the last 4 days with my buddies family in Birmingham.......so much fun. I still feel I'm leaving s*** out but it was kinda a blur when you're 21 years old. Oh, I went to the shakin not stirred Casino in Monte Carlo...that was bad ass. Plus the F1 cars were their and running their time trials and s***, but I was allowed to walk up the mountain because of being a tourist, it was just great period, lol. Sounds awesome man. Great experiences to hang on to.
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I went to the June 10th, 2004 Expos-Royals doubleheader here in KC with my dad, as a combined father's day/my birthday event. It was good times. It was the first, and last, time I ever got to see the Expos play live. And they won both games. I remember seeing what seemed like close to a thousand Expos hats/jerseys in the stands. Good times, good times. Looking at the boxscores, I had forgotten that Zach day threw a complete game shutout in the first game. I do remember, during the second game, Tomo Ohka broke his arm on a comebacker in the third. Sun-Woo Kim came on and pitched 4.1 innings of perfect baseball after that.

oakville69 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 They are playing much better now that I've been missing so many games. Same here. I went to the game last Saturday & had to leave before it finished. This week I have only been able to watch them on Jays 30. I know "team gelling" is not scientific, but it seems to me that it did take time to get players playing up to career averages. If Reyes comes back soon, the Jays have a shot at 500 before the all star break.

I'm glad they got to 6 games under, but remember, if Dickey struggles again, they'd be looking at trying to win the series with Wang on the mound. If they can take 1 of the next 2, then they'll have a chance to do some damage against the Rockies, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Days like today are when you REALLY need your ace to throw a good game. The air just comes out of the balloon so fast if he comes out today and gives up 5-6 runs early in the game. There's some momentum. We need a big run. We need to keep it going. Come on Dickey. Show us what you got.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Anyone else think there's a VERY good chance that this is Ron Washington's last year as a major league manager???
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 We all know Dickey is gonna f*** things up today, at least we can be happy for a little while I guess 3 in a row is nice, if only we had a better pitching match up today
