GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Meadows would have been nice What's the consensus on our best option here? Shipley? It has to be Shipley. No doubt.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Brace yourselves guys. I have no confidence here.
ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I can live with this. I see Jared Weaver in him, and one of the youngest guys in the draft. Costly though.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 did this guy just say that the jays know how to develop players? since when?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I'm gonna go f***ing destroy my wall, brb.
ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 How do you pass on Shipley? I don't know either. The guy already has 2 plus pitches and a chance for 3, and could help out our horrible staff within 2-3 years. Bickford is going to be good, but we're basically hoping he becomes as good as Shipley.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I wonder if we'll get him signed under slot and trade for a competitive balance pick for someone who falls? Don't like the pick though with Shipley and McGuire still on the board.
theblujay Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Check back in 7 years to see if his arm hasn't fallen off yet.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Why wouldn't we just take Shipley? Way closer to the bigs and more of a sure thing.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Bickford ETA 2025 great Not the worst pick. We better take an offensive position player with our next pick though.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 f*** HS arm again Hopefully not because he's in HS.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 6 foot 4, 17 years old and throws 97. Yeah let's fire AA!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 And now Dom Smith to NYM. My wall has marks and a slight hole in it. 70 MPH tennis ball lol.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 It all comes down to money. It's hard to judge any of these picks until we know what they sign for.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Mets Dominic Smith....f*** you Ike Davis
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Lol @ people losing their mind over this pick. Meh.
