sdyment Verified Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Thought it might be curious to follow if anybody else cares at this point. http://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/2013/06/06/blue_jays_ricky_romero_says_hes_back_to_doing_things_his_way.html He basically says that he's chucking everything out the window and going back to what feels right. http://www.milb.com/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2013_06_06_lhvaaa_bufaaa_1&mode=gameday I'm hooked...for the day at least...
CHRIS Verified Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 May has well, pretty much his only choice at this point.

sdyment Verified Member Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 PPD today... we'll see if he goes tomorrow...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 PPD today... we'll see if he goes tomorrow... He certainly should...
admin Site Manager Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 He basically says that he's chucking everything out the window and going back to what feels right. Year and a half to decide that?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Year and a half to decide that? Well supposedly they didn't change any mechanics until this spring
sdyment Verified Member Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 bit of this, bit of that, it all adds up...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 It's just ridiculous Ricky has better stuff than Happ ever had Yep Happ has 2x better results over the last 12 months
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 So back to spring training Ricky? Well at least he didn't have a 3-20 k/bb ratio back then I guess...
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 It's just ridiculous Ricky has better stuff than Happ ever had Yep Happ has 2x better results over the last 12 months Ricky may have better stuff but he is clearly not the better pitcher.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Happ can look great for for a few innings then he just runs out of gas. Hes not very durable. But hes got nice live arm from the left side early in games. I think he would be much more effective coming out of the pen. Hes a 5 inning pitcher at the most as a starter. Happ certainly has his limitations but as a #5 SP, he is pretty good.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I feel like we can do better than Happ as #5 but w/e
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Say hello to D-train Romero! You're done!
bendera3 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Hopefully a declaration of RR saying that he will now pitch well instead of like a gas can will make everything all better.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Hopefully a declaration of RR saying that he will now pitch well instead of like a gas can will make everything all better. The power of positive thinking bro
kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 This team has so screwed RR,s confidence that I'm not surprised he chucked their Mechanics changing s*** out the window and is doing things his way . AA was so despeate that he totally destroyed the guys mental ability to pitch . Now I hope he gets back to form but i suspect it won't happen with us and we will eat that 19 mil .Stupidity
sdyment Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 FYI ... Game 1 of the D.H. is at 5:30pm ET and Ricky is starting.
cesarb182 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 That creole has pitched 3 scoreless innings so far, 1 walk, 1 strikeout and 3 basehits, with 45 pitches already... dunno, seems valid but to me all these stories are crutch.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I wonder how fast half this board will jump on Romero's dick after a bit of success.
cesarb182 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I wonder how fast half this board will jump on Romero's dick after a bit of success. Not today, he has given up 3 runs in the 6th and now he's gone
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Not today, he has given up 3 runs in the 6th and now he's gone I meant like after prolonged success, one start is really nothing. I just find it funny how many people are just completely writing him off as "done".
admin Site Manager Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 It's all about his confidence. Told himself he's going back to his old self. Didn't blow up in the first inning and just built on it. The big issue will be when he has a bad inning. Does he let it bother him, or does he keep going.
